So, what is your favourite song?

Mine's got to be Golden Brown by The Stranglers, it's a really moving song and it reminds me of the film Snatch (Favourite film along with Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels)----Perhaps that could be the next topic. Very Happy

I hate having to choose a favorite song, it is forever changing. I will really like a song for about a week and it will suddenly change, I haven't got a song that I will love for eternity. Smile

My 2 favourites would be "Your Will is Dead" By Die So Fluid, or "Shiva" by Pornorphans. Neither of which is available to download/buy Sad , so if i want to listen to them I have to stick my bike DVD on Laughing .

Hmm tough one. I have favourite songs of the moment that usually change around but if I was to pick an all time favourite it would have to be "Limbonic Art - As the bell of immolation calls" Most played song of the moment is "Nightwish - I wish I had an angel"

At the moment Less Than Jake - Johnny Quest Thinks We're Sellouts and Mad Caddies - Mary Melody. Not really able to pick a favorite song, just whatever I am listening to the most at the time of the question being asked really.

I've been looking at this thread for ages now, but for the life of me I can't think of a favourite song. Mostly it's because I love music, I love vinyl and have spent loads on collecting music (I used to cram in 5 hours of MTV - back in the day when it was MTV Europe and good - when I was growing up).

Can't think of a single song tho, depends on my mood

- Ben Harper and Lenny Kravitz (old stuff) would be good right now I suppose

- Later on I'll probably be rolling out some dark rumbling sample based hip hop

- Than after that, off to a rock club!

Eels - Last Stop This Town

---

You're dead but the world keeps spinning
Take a spin trough the world you left
It's getting dark a little too early
Are you missing the dearly bereft?

Taking a flight, and you could be here tomorrow
Taking a flight, well, you could get here tonight

I'm gonna fly on down for the last stop to this town
- what?
I'm gonna fly on down then fly away
- well allright
get down

Takin' a spin through the neighbourhood
The neighbours scream
Whatcha talkin' bout?
'Cause they don't know how to let you in
and I can't let you out

your father is not your only friend in this world
you take me where you 're going if you 're never coming back

I'm gonna fly on down for the last stop to this town
I'm gonna fly on down then fly away
get down

Why don't we take a ride away up high through the neighbourhood
Up over the billboards and the factories and smoke
I'm gonna fly on down for the last stop to this town
- yeah
I'm gonna fly on down and fly away on my way
Fly away
get down

---

I love that. Smile

UB40 - Kingston Town. Cool

Hmmm, a tough one...it all depends what mood I’m in.

It ranges from - Massive Attack - Unfinished sympathy
To...Pink Floyd - wish you were here...then the planet Suite, Jupiter by Holst then onto Sinead O'conner - Nothing Compares to You, with a side order of the Orb - A huge ever growing pulsating brain that rule from the centure of the ultra world - and a desert of underworld - rez. I could go on but it could take a while! Karma

Invaders by Iron Maiden. It Rocks!

Hammerhead by Samson. The production stinks really badly, but the song rocks!

Solar Confinement by Bruce Dickenson. It rocks! Cool

Depends on genre:

Metal : Master of puppets - Metallica or maybe Wickerman by Maiden Confused
Pop-punk: Dammit - Blink 182
Pop : I want it that way - Back street boys
R&B: WHAT THE FUN!?
Hip-Hop: Stan - Eminem

probably some other ones, but if there are some good altern rock songs or NuPunk songs by NFG or other things that i like, they will become my flavour of the month band

Tenacious D-(if i had to pick one) inward singing/Drive thru

Christina Aguilera-once again all are very good, but prob voice within!

There is really no such thing as my favourite song, all depends on my mood at the time!

Golden Brown is also sung on resevoir dogs, as the blokeys ear is getting chopped off!

Yeah! Over 4 hours of footage, shitloads of live song's recorded mainly at nottingham 2003. Making of self titled (EVERYTHING went wrong) and the making of dissimulate.

plus loads of other stuff, i've watched it umpteen times since I bought it.

It's cool as it shows you how hard everyone had to work and how many different people are playing on the album (3 different guitar players, 3 singers instead of the live 2).

One of the best bit's is when watching the making of self titled and they start trying to record the main massacre riff, all down picked. It's like watching torture. Smile
