Brake light stuck on

Hi guys,
I just noticed this morning when doing my quick weekly check over on my cbr125 that the brake light is stuck on. Ive not had a chance to delve into what might cause it yet.

Im endeavoring to learn more by doing things myself with my bike instead of running to the bike shop every time.

I thought id ask if anyone else has had any experience with this?

It's probably either the rear switch has become so encased in crud that the little plunger bit (or whatever you have on yours) is stuck out, or the micro-switch on the front lever is knackered.

Find out which one is causing it first by disconnecting them one at a time and go from there.

Before disconnecting them just clean out the gap between the switch and the lever end and see if the problem goes away

Had similar on the lad's CBF and as previously said, it was the micro switch on the front brake lever.

Single screw underneath to remove it, pull off the spade connectors, replace (couple of quid), job done.
