I'm racing on the sidecars on sunday.

Although looking at the weather forecast and the weather warnings they have issued at the moment the grasstrack races in particular may get cancelled Thumbs Down

Fingers crossed - and waterproofs packed Laughing

It might be later in the day I think, although may well be stuck in the pits area being worked on which is usually closed off. Are you about on the Sunday or just tomorrow?

I'll be with team 125 this week as their previous passenger has had to retire from the sport unexpectedly and the guys i've been riding with mainly can't make Donnington unfortunately.

Looks like good news on the track though, they've literally just announced this in the last half hour. Looks like the track is quite angled going by the prep-pics so hopefully it will help excess water run-off if it does get torrential Laughing

We had a heavy shower at about 3.30pm today, just what the ground needs, the track and surrounding areas can take any amount of water at the moment.
There are a couple more showers predicted over night. Tomorrow is predicted to be sunshine and broken cloud with the possible chance of a short light shower mid afternoon.

How was yesterday at the festival for you [seems you picked the good day...]. I heard there was quite a lot going on from some of the guys who went up early.

It was an absolute disaster for us today Rolling Eyes half the competitors didn't turn up. Then half of the ones that did went home before practice. Then the rest of us that were going to try stick it out got sent home because it was declared unsafe Laughing Took over an hour just to get everyone out of the field because it got so flooded and mashed up Thumbs Down

Only just stumbled across this thread!

Yeah, it was pretty misrable.

I was riding on the saturday and the track was good! Camped overnight and wished I hadnt.

Hung around for a few hours waiting for the inevitable and then packed away in the pouring rain. Was a miserable weekend unfortunately!

Went back a few weeks ago now for the rescheduled meeting and that was much better! Although I was having bike trouble all day and was just rolling around really.

Did you make the rescheduled meeting Matt? Im guessing we must pass each other quite a bit in the pits after seeing some of the tracks in your photo's.

Small world - didn't realise you did grasstrack. We didn't make the rescheduled meet unfortunantely as the team didn't want to travel all the way up there again. We're mainly all based around the south coast, most near SE of London so Derby is quite a long trek for them particularly.

Not sure if any of my lot went for the re-run at all actually? We wanted to make the effort to give it a go the first one as it was at Donington, but after the disasterous first Sunday no one could be bothered again Thumbs Down.

We've only got a couple more meets this season now I think but our bikes in the workshop at the moment so it might not be ready in time, but we're hoping to goto Frittenden and Danebury in October still. I'm on team 5 with Munnery, come say hi if you're going to either and you see us around Thumbs Up

What class do you ride in normally?

Ah my season is pretty much over now.

I've done too much this year and im absolutely shattered from it all tbh. Too many early starts on sunday mornings. Got one more club meeting this weekend then its speedway bike time again. Always like to get out for a few spins on the shale during the winter.

I ride Pre 75 500cc. Occasionally Uprights too but that class is getting a bit too lairy for me at times now... Had a few too many close calls with inexperienced riders in that class for my liking Laughing
