Hi guys,

I'm thinking of getting my A2 license around February next year (if i's not icy/snowy)

I'm looking at for places to do my test that's a decent price too! I'm only 18 and new to biking. I know it's not going to be cheap but I have a job just now and I'm trying to save up for a new bike as well!

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
KM

If you vote right, the SNP might get rid of the MOD1 and 2 Razz

My thoughts are, sounds good! Why don't you do your CBT and theory now?

Might? Is this a serious thing that has been said?

Well I already have my CBT just now but didn't want to spend the money on getting all that done, when I'm 19 in November and then just do all the A2 stuff then?

No I'm kidding Smile

Ah you have the CBT, do you have yourself a 125 right now then? If you do your theory now, it lasts 2 years so once it's done, it's done - spread the cost. If you have a 125, why not bob in for a MOD1 on your own back, 16 quid for a go around the course and you might even pass it. Then you could do the MOD2 for 60-70 quid whatever it is these days and be rid of the Ls!

Yeah, I have a Honda CBF 125, but I've only been riding for about 6/7 months and fancy something bigger! I don't really mind the L's. Takes the look off the bike a bit but I've learned to live with it!

Ride On, Bike It or Harleys would be the current choices. Not Bike Rite, reportedly the good instructors bailed out.

If you do tests at Shieldhall, you'll almost certainly be taken through one or several unmarked junctions / crossroads, whichever route you go. They're super keen on those. Watch out for them, treat as a Give Way.

Oh, and if you post in the Scottish section, you might get some more responses from folk who have done training recently.
