When I have part exchanged a bike they get their mechanic to give it a quick once over, if he gives it the thumbs up then any problems he missed are his problem
The down side is that the dealer has wages and bills to pay so he has to leave himself some profit and will not pay top money. But it is very convenient and saves having test pilots come for a thrash then not buy the bike, or having to deal with the less desirable eBay bidders. |

Can't remember who it was but someone on here had a dealer threaten to reclaim their bike, cos the one they part exchanged was a write-off.
No way would I part ex with a dealer. A pal traded in his cbr 125, was offered £500 for it The dealer would only negotiate on the bike he was buying, so in effect he got £750 for it, still a rip-off as the dealer sold it for 2k.
However if your happy OP go for it. ____________________ Yamaha MT-03 '08 (crashed)

Sold as seen, they're the professionals. /story.
I've had three valuations on the GS. One walk around it, one quick going over in front of me (I nearly spat my teeth out when he levitated it into the air to test the headstock bearings), one proper going over in the workshop.
They all offered exactly the same price.

Yeh yeh you was right. That's not to say its a bad bike. But I just want something I can take on longer trips, perhaps even some euro tours. The 250 is a fantastic commuter and great to wring around on city roads. But not so good on the open roads.
...and nobody has yet asked what bike I'm checking out ____________________ GSXR 600 K6 - Stolen
