First Gear Hard To Select

Hi,
Changed the clutch on the rs 125 , finding it hard to select first from neutral (will sometimes go in), it seems ok up and down the gears and finding neutral is no problem. I set the clutch up as per the manual but thinking it might need to be adjusted,any thoughts ? not disengaged enough? thanks

Was there much difference in the combined thickness of the plate stack before and after (old v new)? When changing bike clutches, I always check this to make sure I have the correct plates.

Did you check the actuator spindle for wear?

Could be oil drag, but try adjusting until it just starts to slip in top gear, then back off a bit and try 1st again.
