As previously posted, planning a trip to Germany. But actually planning is pretty much finalised, last few bits to get or prepare and we're off this Thu.

Yesterday we bought Sena intercoms, so have to still work that out, and it's bit too gadgety for me, but I guess it will be rather handy for the trip. Mainly with 2km reach as boys can go for a blast in the mountains while I will just toodle along and enjoy the scenery at the same time.

We have hotels booked, but with the daily routes we're quite flexible, so if you can think of something worth seeing in that area, all ideas are welcome

I might keep a little log/diary about the experience as I bet few of the bikers or bikers to be might find few things handy. And the pics.

I guess my trip might be documented either in a little blog or at least on my instagram. So will keep you posted!!!

And if you're in the area and see a girl on a 'flowery' cbr, give us a wave!!!

Here's to a good ride!!!

What area. Black Forest is large. Very Happy

I am going down for a few days at the end of the month. Well not right down. Trier is as far south but next year looking to go down to Lorrach and work my way back up through the country roads.

Worlds largest cuckoo clock

Also Lake Tittisee is meant to be stunning.

OOohhh, cuckoo clock!!! like it, that's not far from our night 2-3 as we will be staying in Freiburg.

Then following day we are going to be staying in Baden-Baden (bit of thermal waters can't do us any harm), so that will be just random riding around as the distance between Freiburg and Baden-Baden is next to nothing.

And - the weather forecast is not looking bad either!!!

So yup, will be good. Not looking forward to the first day tho as for me that's a bit of a long distance, and my bike is the least comfortable out of all. So 480 miles is gonna be a killer Shocked Shocked

How are Germans as drivers, I guess they are used to the bikers in that area, but do they tolerate them?

I'd recommend the Auto und Technik Museum in Sinsheim if you have time - absolutely brilliant place to spend a few hours Thumbs Up

The sister museum in Speyer is supposed to be equally good and nearby Heidelburg is lovely.

German drivers are fantastic with bikes, in fact most of the continent is fantastic compared to our drivers. Keep an eye out in your mirrors for the local bikers, they're quick, very quick.

We started the b500 in baden-baden and more or less touched the Swiss border before heading back into France, though if push came to shove and I had to choose I would have to say my favourite part of the trip was in fact the Vosges mountains in France rather than the B500, not that there was much in it!

You could throw a dart at a map anywhere in that area of Europe and be forced to ride amazing roads with breathtaking views. Can't wait to go back there myself.

Enjoy your trip Thumbs Up
