The Mirror printed a story on Monday claiming that the Top Gear presenter had been warned by BBC bosses “not to cause a diplomatic row during a Top Gear road trip to Argentina”. It quoted a BBC insider as saying: “There was real panic when bosses learned that Top Gear was going to Argentina of all places. Clarkson and his crew have a record of upsetting foreigners – from Mexicans, the French and Asian – the last thing the BBC needed was a big incident with Argentina. Just looked at a pic of the offending number plate and the "8" appears to be a "0" with a line through - they must have accidentally slipped with a marker pen
It's one thing to use this plate, while I can see the joke, it's not the sort of thing that hits my funny spot and is pretty tasteless IMO, but why did they then compound the problem by lying and saying they didn't use the plate on purpose? 'Just makes them out to be bigger wankers than they are.
I'd like to see Clarkson now move to Argentina, it may open the ignoramuses, dinosaur brain to what Racism actually is as he obviously still thinks it's a jolly jape to share with his public schoolboy friends.

The reg plate is the original one for that car, made in 1991. It can be viewed on Government websites. It seems pretty obvious that the mobs were clearly organised by the government, they'll make it a victory over the brits and then use it as a distraction from their fucked economy
