It won't, most likely, but there's no need for special tools. Hammer and an punch (piece of metal you use to mark holes for drilling into metal), should do the trick, did for me many times.
By punch, I mean this (you're gonna use the center/prick/starting punch. One of those.):

By the way, I also had a chance to use this:
https://stores.sportbiketrackgear.com/catalog/EK_Chain_screw_link_detail_1_600.jpg
You put it in the chain, and use those black screws (spanner), as far as it lets you, then take the screws off and brake the redundant rods (pliers) and put the rubber rings onto it. It's very cheap and very easy/quick to work with. I paid around 4 to 5 pounds for it. The screws will basically do, what you would have done with the punch and hammer. ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ

Can you please post a link for that link (pun intended). I used to carry a spare split link with me, but used it on someone else's chain a while ago, and could do with a new one.
A mate of mine ordered a DID chain and sprocket set, and it turned out to be an endless type, so he bought it to me to fit.
We did it between us by undoing the swing arm, and off with the old, on with the new! Probably took no longer than the breaking and riveting method.
Give M&P a ring on Monday and check before you order - they do split link chains too. ____________________ Honda Varadero XL125(V8)

It's called: EK chain screw type master link
If you google it, you can find it in your local shop.
EDIT: It seems to be around 16 USD, well I remember it being cheaper. Anyway, it is great and very easy to fit.
Here's where I got the picture from: https://stores.sportbiketrackgear.com/Detail.bok?no=16084 ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ
