So here is the deal. My dad bought me this glorious "1977" Cb200T project. I have a few questions about the bike.
Original owner lost pinks so wrote a bill of sale. 1) will i run into issues registering this bike in my name? (California resident)

2) Original owner claims this is a Honda 1977 CB200T, however I have found very FEW web sites that support that Honda even made the Twin model in that year. Wiki said it was only in production for 2 years, 75-76 I believe.

Ill attach some pictures so maybe that can help Yall in my investigation haha..

3) If this is in fact a 1977 CB200T, are there any other years of production that parts will fit my bike for? IE: buy parts for the 1975/76 years and put them on my 1977 bike possibly?

Thanks, also im new to this site and the moto world. Any tips/ advice in the restoration of my bike is appreciated.

Cheers!!

Don't know how it works over there but is it not possible that the bike was produced (out of the factory) in 1976 but not registered for the first owner until 1977?

My brother had one of these in teh early 80s or was it late 70s. IIRC
it had a groovy black plastic pad the length of the tank, and a weird cable operated disc brake.

Pretty unremarkable Honda I think.

You probably won't get much help with you 'licensing' issues here as this is mainly a UK/Europe forum, but for mechanical questions then ask away..

If I were you I woudl see if I could get the thing running first (clean out tank, carbs, renew oil, check valve clearances (if in doubt set 6 thou), check it will turnover - oil bores through plug-hole first, check timing/points gap, new plugs.

If you can start it, it might be some encouragemnet to licence it for the road. By now it will have some perverse retro cool I'm sure !
