You shouldn't be riding with your helmet hanging out - do your zip up!

When I bought my third SH300, it came with the OEM Honda windshield. I bought the scooter in Carlisle to continue my holiday through to Scotland when my VFR broke down.
The screen is lethal in rain. You cannot see clearly through the drops, and it's too flat to reliably be swept clear by wind. The drops stay until they evaporate, or you take the risk of reaching around and wiping them off.
It was so bad I had to give up on one trip and head back to the hotel, because I couldn't see where I was going; I kept on sticking my helmet out to either side of the screen to see where the road went.
Be aware that while it removes pretty much all wind hitting your front, this is replaced by a very strong draught hitting your back instead. It's quite peculiar - it feels like you have a very strong tailwind. You'll still need good neck protection etc. to stop the back draught from getting annoying.
I removed the shield as soon as I got home, and will never put it back on unless the new owner wants it when I sell it.
So my advice is, if you get a screen, get one you can see over. ____________________ Bikes: S1000R, SH350; Exes: Vity 125, PS125, YBR125, ER6f, VFR800, Brutale 920, CB600F, SH300x4

Thanks for the replies
Just one more thing, when I'm searching I'm seeing the word Scoopy mentioned lots next to my bike name. What does Scoopy mean? I couldn't find any reference to it.
Also I can't see any tall screens with fixing kits included that would be suitable for a 12 reg SH125i on eBay.
Are there sites in Asia who may sell these screens? Waiting isn't an issue.

There is an old Honda scooter model, SH50, that was branded as Scoopy in some markets - Spain I believe at least. Modern SH have a very similar shape to it, so the nickname for any SH model in Spain at least is Scoopy.

(There were other scooters labelled as Honda Scoopy, but not similar to the SH50.) ____________________ Bikes: S1000R, SH350; Exes: Vity 125, PS125, YBR125, ER6f, VFR800, Brutale 920, CB600F, SH300x4
