Three guesses at who left his lid outside last night , when it has absolutely pissed it down for the past six hours.

Rather moist is an understatement.

Suppose it'll have to be van today then.

Sad

I've done that. Not with the helmet but with gloves.

Couldn't figure out for the life of me where I had put them only to see them outside on the bins through the window.

They had been soaking throughout the night and pouring rain. Laughing

I've done this a few times too but, when parked in the street overnight Embarassed Thankfully, that was back in the IoM and not here, so I still have a bike.

I've left my keys in bikes: outside of Tescos, overnight outside my house, and my GF has left the key in her ER6f for several months over winter - albeit under a cover.

All this is in Bow, London zone 2.

The bikes are always chained up with keys on a separate keyring though, except for that incident outside of Tescos.

From my research on washing helmet lining it is best to let it dry slowly.
IIRC something like an airing cupboard is ok but 'forcing' it on a radiator, hairdryer, etc. is a no-no.

Also IIRC it can take a while to dry. To paraphrase Star Trek 2 Wrath of Khan movie, think days instead of hours.

Have left the keys in the bike a few times now. I now make sure that my key is on the same ring as the key for my locks so I have to take the key out of the ignition to lock the bike.

Which is fine until I forget to lock the bike AND leave the keys in the ignition.... Laughing

Left the key in the ignition a couple of times under cover, in the seat release more times than I care to remember Embarassed

Left my gloves outside in the same circumstances, got my spare pair out of my gear box and went down to find them soaked through Evil or Very Mad

In Mile End, right next to it, I've had my doorbell stolen and my numberplate stolen - Would put keys down to luck rather than good area!
