Well, as it stands lads, VW went mad. So, VW owns Audi, Audi owns Ducati, VW decided to use a engine from Ducati 1199 Superleggera in their car.

I wonder what they'll do with the power delivery - an R1 engine in a kit car weighing half this makes the bike engine feel a LOT more peaky, so I can see the already peaky engine of the 1199 being, ah, 'involving'.

That's one seriously bland interior, I'd probably hang myself from the sun visors while stuck in traffic one day. Also a wooden gear knob(?) amongst all that carbon fibre? Dafuq?

Everything else about it looks good though. Car drivers are going to find the revvy-ness of it a bit strange, with the redline being well over twice what most 1.2s are.

Note that it's just a one off/concept etc - they've stuck the duke engine in their super-mpg hybrid

It actually weighs more than the original car - but that has something like 47hp petrol and 29hp electric motors, so presumably doesn't need as strong drive line components and so on.
