I have just baught my second 50cc bike as i am 16 and the last one kept blowing up due to being chinese crap. I have baught a second hand peugeot jetforce 50 with 3000 miles on the clock. It will start up on the button and tick over for about a minute until finally cutting out and dieng. It will instantly start up again but cut out alot quicker unless i rev it up and pull off. It will tick over at 2000 rpm until quickly shutting off. Any and all help would be ideal and appreciated as i have college tommorow and without my ped its a 2 hour bus journey Sad
If asked i can post a short video showing this problem.

Thank you!

First you need to check the condition of your air filter, fuel filter (not sure if yours will be in the fuel tank or an 'in-line' type (fitted partway along the fuel pipe)
You could do with checking the state of your spark plug and possibly fit a new one as plugs get a very hard life on two-strokes.
Have you been keeping an eye on the oil level and topping it up regularly (as two strokes mix oil with petrol and thus use it up!)

You've already shown you have no clue what this section is for, nor the one directly below it, which was my original point.

Yes, this should really be in the workshop section
rather than the new bikers section
Anway
I'd also look at the air and fuel filters
Dont know the bike but broadly speaking
A clogged air filter will make it easy to start from cold but soon
choke or flood it
A clogged fuel filter may not allow the carb to fill in time to
keep up with the demand from the engine.
Ditto air inlet on filler cap
A new plug wouldn't hurt either

I do know from personal experience that many/most 50s are owned by youngfellermelads whose enthusiasm by far outweighs their technical know how and had to sort all manner of neglect and bodges for my lads and their mates.
I suggest finding an online manual, even buying one
and giving it a service.

If you remove and check the plug colour
this will give an indication if its flooding
ideally it wll be a tan/ light brown colour
if its black/sooty this indicates flooding ( clogged air filter perhaps)

just a thought, make sure the choke isn't stuck on

its a peugeot jetforce

they have a habit of breaking down

mainly when someone tryed tuning it (before you had it)

also they had a super charger to put out more power (or at least the 125cc did) these clogged up fairly regular

In fairness, he is the most polite Pedboi to come on here and post in the first section he saw.

Fair Play, he can't read, but fair play to him. Laughing
