This is my story, sorry if I am about to bore you, but tough!!! I'm on Cloud 9 at the moment 'cause I've just bought my first ever bike a Honda NSR 125 and it's a peach Dance! . If you don't want bored then read no further!! Rolling Eyes

First of all we had to drive from Glasgow through to Stirling to see the bike - I'd seen it in pictures, but not in person. I was all nervous and everything, 'cause I've not been on a bike since I sat my CBT in December.

When I got there - there it was sitting in Isobel's drive (that's who we bought it from - she's such a gem) and it looked stunning, all gleaming white and lovely-jubbly!! Shocked Very Happy

I was so nervous to get on it and start it up, but when I did after a couple of times round the house, it started to come back to me, even though I was still quite nervous!!

The money changed hands after the lovely Isobel showed me a few things about the bike (thanks for the lessons Isobel) Thumbs Up

We now had to drive all the way back to Glasgow - AND NOT GO ON THE MOTORWAY!!!

I had only just driven out of the street where Isobel lived AND I GOT MY FIRST BIKER'S NOD!!! Eeeeeeek , I felt so important!! Cheers mate, whoever you were!! You put the icing on my cake! Thumbs Up

We got a wee bit lost at first trying to get onto the A811 and my control going round some of the roundabouts left a bit to be desired, but once we hit the A811, it was open road and off I went - gawd I was good (even if I do say so myself!! Embarassed ) I managed to get up to 60mph - not bad for a first timer!!!! Dance!
Think my beloved was getting a bit nervous mind you (sorry Eddie xx)!!! Shocked (he was driving the car behind me). The drive home through the Campsies was lovely, the sun was beaming and I was singing away to myself inside my helmet (I am a self-confessed nutter Whistle )

I do need to practice my position on the road, 'cause I found myself getting a little close to the inside verge, but I guess I'll learn and hopefully not the hard way!!! I also need to practice my corners, because due to my position on the road, I was taking them a bit tight, but I'm sure I'll learn!!

Anyway, I'm now home safe and sound and don't think I'll sleep tonight 'cause I'm so bloody excited.

Sorry to have bored those of you that have read this, but to make up for it, here's a link (well I've actually stole Isobel's link 'cause I haven't taken my own pictures yet Embarassed) to my wee bike Pam (that's what I've called her, so that when my other half sits his CBT he can say he's going to ride Pammy Wink )
