Lidl have them occasionally, and some of the larger Tesco and Asda branches. The ones I bought were more of a warm white than brilliant white, but bright enough for the Lounge and Bedroom, but I prefer fluorescents in the kitchen.

If you don't like them, take them back for a refund.

think we got some from screwfix.

Also got some from Amazon/Ebay. Most of bulbs have a colour temperature scale. Think I've got warm white in my bedroom which isn't too bad.

We have some LAP 5w non-dimmable ones from screwfix that have been excellent. I compared them side-by-side to the 50w halogen ones they were replacing and were as bright. Screwfix also do a 5w dimmable version of the same bulb but it's 220lm instead of 330. To my eyes, the 'warm white' they emit is pure white - no blue tinge at all, but whiter that the yellow output of the halogen equivalent.

Screwfix are showing two entries for what appears to be the same bulb:
one
two
If they're the same, the cheaper one is worth a shot Thumbs Up

With LED bulbs at the moment I'd say it's worth getting good known brands like LAP or Philips. They're expensive but it's worth it.

I find Click Ovia to be a good product. I'm running 4W cool whites at home and they knock spots off the 50W halogens that they replaced.

I bought 20 4w, 4-LED GU10 bulbs off of ebay for about £35. One incandescent GU10 bulb used more power than the 8 LED bulbs I have replaced them with in my kitchen and studio.

I used some 7 watt sylvania led gu10s on a big job I have just finished. I bought a few home for our kitchen light and they are a lot brighter than the standard GU10s that were in it. I think I paid about 5 quid plus the VAT for them, but I did buy about 300!

We bought loads of LEDs from IKEA. ES ones and GU10. One of the ESs died (flickered) after a short while but the other 7 are ok, and all 8 GU10s are fine. They are a true 'warm white'.

Hi there,

I've come across the following brand who have a good track record of high quality lighting at affordable prices. They have a good selection of GU10 bulbs too Smile https://www.valuelights.co.uk/catalogsearch/result/?q=GU10+bulb
