Hello all,

I've been on the hunt for a new lid for some time now, I was initially looking at the more trusted brands such as Arai & Shoei. Although I have now come across Nexx. After reading several reviews & videos it seems like a safe one to go for.

I was hoping some of you may have your own opinions which would help me out.

Thanks in advance

I went from a Shoei to a Nexx Carbon. Its a good helmet, well made and comfortable. The aperture is bigger than the Shoei giving better visibility when head down and to the sides as well. I'd buy another no problem.

Thanks 'Old Git',

I also read that because of the lightness (1250g I believe) & as you say the visibility being immense that it gives you the perception you haven't got a lid on! Is what I've READ accurate?

I wouldn't go so far as to say it doesn't feel like you have one on but when I wore my Shoei for a ride out just because it was to hand, the difference was massive. The Shoei felt heavy and I couldn't see out of the top without tilting my head up.
Another good point with the Nexx is the venting, you can get plenty of air going through it but it seems to magically miss your eyes.

Just looks a lot nicer and has more going for it IMO

Nexx may be good helmet, I would not by anything with so low SHARP safety rating though 3 stars only:
