Norton is actually one of the better AV these days. I bought a copy last year and it un-installed quickly and cleanly when the license expired.

This is almost certainly adware/spyware disguised as flash.

www.flashplayerdownloadnow.com does not sound in the least bit legit. If you don't have flash, get it from Adobe.

Ok I visited it, it auto downloads a setup.exe so fuck that. Just because MSE shows a .exe as safe doesn't mean it is.

The real download page.

Seems most likely if a lot of you are getting it. What are you doing when it redirects?

Nothing, its definitely an advert. This is why i used adblock but Korn likes to punish us for protecting our machines with adblock extensions.

Work PC = Do. Not. Want.

Getting the same as well here, PC shows all clear ATM with Malwarebytes ADWcleaner and MSE.

Only on BCF and no other sites. It wants me to download flash, Java and a media player for chrome.

No problems here because I don't care if I've hit a karma-blob glass ceiling for using ABP. Securing your machine comes first Thumbs Up

I'm also getting the same bogus pop-ups asking me to update my flash player and java.

Luckily, Kaspersky blocked the links to both websites.

What's going on?

I don't get it. I am using the following extensions on Chrome.

Adblock plus
Disconnect
Ghostery

All block traffic analysing and tracking stuff. Try those and you should be ok.
