I need to remove the swingarm on my Ducati 900SS and need to find a way to support it for probably a week or two with no swingarm attached.

I have an Abba stand that I use for the bike and found this:

Do you know guys know a good way of properly supporting the bike, i.e. not with bricks under the engine Laughing

Ropes through the frame and supported by roof beams?

Similarly some BCFers have put a ladder across two windows (right angles) and put a rope between that.

Also car jacks under the footpegs (turn the footpegs upside down).

I use axle stands under solid footrests for the R1,but for a friends Gixer I used some long shank bolts into a suitable recess and axle stands to get the swing arm out for servicing the bearings
