To be honest, this is the last response I was expecting, I'm quite shocked.

I know some present were thinking it might act as a bridge between Bikersweb and BCF, but to think that it wasn't even a BCF meet at all......

Do I detect some inter-forum internal political tension here? Tut Tut

No, just my personal opinion, which has no bearing on what anyone else from the "BCF side" of the forum thinks. I don't have a problem with it, just saying what I see.

You were writing about how you didn't recognise anyone. Well guess what? Neither did we - for about 10 seconds...

I guess you had to be there.

Finally I'm signed up! I'm having to use a remote proxy as it seems I cant browse BCF from my home connection Confused plus my "stryker" account is in limbo as the confirmation email never got to me.

Anyways, hi peeps and thanks for a the great ride out, even if sadie did forget I was there..... on my bright red trike Shocked Laughing

I don't think the 'forums' thing even needs discussing (he say's, discussing it). It was a 'biker' thing, a learner ride out that someone was good enough to set up, and that people turned up to support. It was on here, and there was a thread on BW, and I don't see how that is any big deal, given that the more people knew about it, the better the turnout would be. As was the case for Stryker, Bazza, and many others, I knew no one there, and it was a little uncomfortable for about 2 seconds. The composition of the group, as regards who uses what forum, and how much, was dictated entirely by who turned up, and I don't think it mattered to anyone in attendance. It was a bike thing..... Period.

All the best,
Nick.

Big Pete and I have had a recon. scout to Bourton On The Water for another rideout. Well, that and my chance to visit the perfumery and buy smelly stuff. A nice ride out, relatively straight (ish!) but lots of up-and-downers. Down the Fosse Way - Diesel, you'd love it! The town is small with a Model Railway shop that has a big exhibition for the technical/big kids and a bunch of touristy shops. There are tea rooms for cake and pubs/cafes for fairly cheap, usually quite hearty meals, plus several good ice-cream places. The perfumery has a perfume garden and an exhibition on their hand-made, cruelty-free techniques. The shop is full of lovely jewellry as well . . . whaddya reckon? Might be a 'pack your wet-weather gear' time of year now, hmmm?

I'm going to be one of those people that drudge up really really old posts from the past... but I was reading this and thought it sounded like a great wee idea and wondered if anyone - learners and seasoned pros - would be up for it?

Always up for something like this, we actualy do this quite a lot on another forum with lots of 125cc learner friendly rides,no high speeds or motorways. Everybody has to start somewhere and what better way to learn than as part of a group plus you get to go on some interesting rides, there may be one organised for this week end I think.
