Is probably quicker to download it than rip.

Thumbs Up

Unless it's something really obscure, downloading is quicker and easier than ripping it.

But the quickest and the easiest answer is to stream it rather than having your own copy. Wink

Being told to attend a staff disciplinary as a key witness against someone who on the face of it has been a very capable and helpful person for a couple of years and is now being hoofed out before Christmas.
And all over feck all, a perceived disrespect of the lowest and pettiest order.

What programme do you use for ripping?

DVD ripper from Tipard, it's one of the best I've ever used. 20 minutes for one dvd on my PC.

I sometimes use Nero Recode, but that requires the dvd to be copied to the hard drive so good old dvd shrink 3.2..

I encode using MP4 (720*576) which I playback on my Kindle, sometimes good old mpeg 2 for TV playback.

But it was just an unpleasant thing. More so because of the content.

720 or 1080p here (DVDs are 480p). It takes a few minutes to download them Smile

Low quality crap downloads?

Folded arms

1080p or very occasionally 720p thank you very much. They're either from Bluray or someone has made a copy from Netflix, Amazon Prime or something like that.

Same deal with TV shows.

It takes next to no time to download huge quantities of high quality media.

DVLA. Again.

You folks from Wales really making the rest of the UK dislike you..

Log book back a second time and yes, again, you've managed to get my name wrong. You've also now changed the colour of my bike.

I made sure last time to make the spelling very clear and even took a copy of what I sent in - do the people at DVLA actually process information or do they (as I suspect) simply click a button and reprint things without alteration??

Fucks sake guys - are the Welsh really that stupid/lazy?

Honestly I've never had a problem with them - I think it's because we share a similar heritage but now? I can now say I don't like them!

Did I ever tell you the story about the outward bound weekend, a chubby lad from Seghill, the sausage roll and the sheep? It's not good Sad

The meat in the sausage roll probably was too!

This isn't very exciting!
OK but quickly. I'm going out. Was a school trip for a week in an outward bound center. At rest time after the evening meal we'd chill and read/chat. That sort of thing. There was one lad in the group, Kevin, who was that chubby one who'd slow the orienteering team he was in or just generally quietly laze about and be useless.
Anyway, one evening we were chatting and Kevin had vanished. He was away ages so we went looking for him. Eventually after an hour we found him slap bang in the middle of a sheep field at the edge of the village. The locals were out sunning in their gardens and watching Kevin. Kevin had his trousers and underpants around his ankles and was stood there eating a sausage roll from a white paper bag. In front of him was a sheep eating grass but facing away from Kevin. Kevin was slowly shuffling towards that sheep from behind - must have been doing that sausage roll eating stealth shuffle for hours to make it so far. Every now and then Kevin would take a bite from the sausage roll and shuffle a little more - then we shouted and ruined his 'fun'.
I cringe when I think about what Kevin was about to do. The locals were shocked as they stood there watching. Even more puzzling was that sausage roll - no bakeries and we'd been there 6 days. Must have been a festering one he'd brought with him from home.
Like I said - nothing exciting just a weird Kevin.

Funnily enough, that's the theme of this year's BCF BBQ.

People being really patronizing and micro-managing something that doesn't need to be, also changing to fit rules that are made up then not adhered to when it suites over petty things. Some forget that others have been in management too and know how to do basics of a job.

Middle management changing work commitments after I’d said yes to work Evil or Very Mad
I’d agreed to work a specific type of shift and cleared other commitments to accommodate them.
Once I’d said yes, they say ‘oh by the way you’re now doing something else now’ (a much crappier task).

If I didn’t need the money, I’d tell them where to put it Middle Finger
I fugging hate being poor Sad
