490 miles in a Fiat Ducato. In a day.

THE most uncomfortable van seat ever.

That was my work van and it left me in agony Neutral [Genuine] Bad backs also seemed to be common across the team.

You don't know the true meaning of uncomfortable until you drive an old car with a bench seat.

You forgot Bodytard, sitting on the floor, with his sippy cup of juice and playing with a model focus ST, then crying because he's run out of juice.

Iceland in West Brom. I was in West Brom today and went into Iceland. I had £3 worth of groceries. 2 people in front of me, the one girl at the front was a foreign girl and she had in her basket the entire shelf full of chocolate eclairs, this was about 14 boxes/packets. They rang through at £1, she went crazy and showed the woman on the till a screen shot on her phone stating they were 50p half price.

It transpires this was only available in some stores, not West Brom. Advert stated this as only stores participating in the promotion. She called security over, assistant manager and finally the manager, they all had to explain the situation over to her again and again. All she kept saying was "No you are not understanding not understanding at all, it is saying 50p yet you are saying £1".

I nearly lost the will to live. 20 minutes later she got the message, all queues were massive so jumping a queue was not an option.

I ended up cold, wet and very windswept. But mrs grr is off until 5th Jan now, so she came along too today. So that
was a nice change from normal, as conversation is a bit thin on the ground when it's just me and the dog.
I park my doggo van in a pub car park at the start of our walk so we warmed up in the pub with a drink before
driving home. Same again tomorrow but having a Sunday roast after walkies as well. It's a daily task and of course
it's a chore sometimes especially if you're busy. I am out with mine for at least a couple of hours a day, often more.
But it's what you make of it. Today Gracie and I played retrieval games with her frisbee and she was really,
really on the case and super alert!! If you're a proper dog owner then your pooch gets a walk every day. Rain snow or shine.

Another dog walk related gear grinding here.
I let the pup off his lead in the park because I couldn't see anyone about apart from two boys and their mum playing on the basketball court.
Of course he makes a beeline for the ball they're playing with and jumps around a bit while barking a bit.
One of the boys, I'd say he was ten or eleven, starts screaming like the dog was a bloody lion.
I quickly got there and put the dog back on a lead while apologising and told them Ben was harmless but the mum went off her snowflake head!
'This has ruined their confidence!'
I said thanks for understanding and we went on our way.

Agreed. There sure as hell wasn't any other reason I was out today. No other bugger was though - the place I usually go is normally rammed with doggos. Tut Tut

God, parents like that get right on my tits.
One of my dogs is samoyed - white fluffy thing, sub-labrador-sized; very cute-looking and doesn't-she-know=it: out in public most kids go an absolute bundle over her and approach wanting want to stroke her etc. The dog loves kids, and absolutely adores all the attention, so will often initiate contact, going up to kids for a stroke, lazily wagging her tail. No running, no barking, just 'look at me aren't I gorgeous, go on, you know you want to...' Obviously, you have to watch out for snowflakey kids.

One time though, my son was walking the dog, and she wanders up to some kid as per usual, but who completely lost the plot. The kid's dad saw everything, starts ranting, goes over to my son and gets right in his face, bawling"if that dog goes near my kid again I'll kick its fucking head in".

Cos that's really going to help with your kid's irrational dog phobia, you tool.

Some people have been attacked by dogs so have reason to be afraid, it happened to me a few times as a kid and I never liked (particularly big dogs) coming up to me.

as above

little lad in our village got bitten by a dog

was petrified of them for ages

slowly started to like them when people we know bought dogs in the pub

would fuss them and even go up to them

someone bought a spaniel in which jumped all over him and headbutted him in the nose they had no control over it at all just thought it was funny which put him back to square one

We need a wordfilter that changes “Focus” to “cost minimised basic transportation device”.

I've had lower back pain since about 15, I used to adjust the seat so it was almost leaning forward.
