I booked an appointment for the snip after two. The third came along before the op.

Family friend had the op and still ended up with a 4th, apparently it's not always a success, you can bet that was an awkward conversation between husband and wife.

It was risky for a bit because it takes me about 40 minutes to get to the hospital and park up. This means that to have a fresh enough sample to test post-snip, I would have had to glomp in the car with a blanket on my lap whilst smiling at visitors and outpatients.... I didn't bother. Its been over a decade now though, so I'm guessing I'm a Jaffa.

Normally you send the sample in by post. They commented on finding saliva in mine...

Nice....

They told me to bring mine in a petri-dish kept at as near to body-temperature as I could, no more than 30 minutes from my loins... Perhaps they were having a laugh?

Shoot me for stating the bleedin' obvious, but is there any reason for glomping in a parked car rather than, say, a hospital toilet cubicle...? Shocked

I found the biggest issue was filling the bottle. It took me 3 rounds to do it.

You're not alone. I actually don't know how I made it to 2019 - Xmas and New Year were appalling for me.

I watched a film oncebought by someone in "the real DVD case"; rather grainy, in the middle of it a chap with wire rimmed glasses stood up in front of the camera, and went off, presumably to the bog, and came back after about 5 minutes. I've no idea how that clip was made.

Otoh, when you get older, you come to terms with your mortality more, realising you're actually not going to live forever. By that time, you wonder where your life went, and might start thinking I better get some things done before it's too late. Assuming you still have the energy to do them Laughing
