You've got new legal tyres, which is nice, now you need to go and ask for a puncture repair.. They might do it free under the circumstances..

Regardless, disgusted. As it is I only eat once daily, if that... I walk 4-5 miles every day and not on flat terrain either.
Looks like I'm going to have to eat once every other day now...

From all the cycling? Even when I was cycling a stupid amount only my calf muscles seemed to grow. Chris Hoy famously had mahoosive thighs.

If I say to my dog " Go to mummy" she runs to my wife, if my wife says "Go to daddy" she runs to me.

I don't care who thinks it's sad. Middle Finger Wink I don't want children, nasty little, ungrateful, life sucking, money pits the lot of them,
that get to a certain age and then spend most of their time telling you to fuck off for all your trouble and expense.
My dog behaves better in a pub or restaurant than a lot of kids I have had the utter misfortune of having to dine with.

We don't deserve dogs. They are awesome.

What happens if you tell the dog "go to daddy"?

Yeah, it's all about house-training, treating them right, picking up their shit, innit. And it's the same with dogs...

Not sure why I'd tell a dog already with me to go to me? Not sure what point you're trying to make there.
They aren't completely perfect though, I could happily do without the doggo death farts.

As for children, I thought discipline was against the little cherubs human rights these days. Certainly would seem so.
I rarely see a well behaved child in a restaurant, it's the exception rather than the rule. I include my own nieces and
nephews when I say that. The only time they sit still is when they are gormlessly staring at an ipad or similar.

No thanks.

Weak joke that's all; just wondering if doggo actually knows what 'mummy' and 'daddy' means (Sick sorry) or whether she'd happily just trot over to your missus regardless

But come on, surely you can see that's entirely down to parental upbringing; if you had your own kids you'd raise/teach/discipline them as you saw fit? I totally agree with you about other people's kids (mostly I can't stand 'em)

I was kind of in your shoes in my 20s; definitely pretty 'meh' about ever having kids, and my then future wife - who always definitely wanted to be a mum - extracted an agreement from me before accepting my proposal. 30 years on, I find it pretty weird to think that in my own 'sliding doors' moment, the three people who now mean by far the most to me in the world could simply never have existed and I really can't imagine how my life would be now without them in it. My dogs? not so much...

If i say to her "find Daddys boots" she runs to my dog walking boots and pushes them with her nose. If I say
"find mummys boots" she runs off and finds my wifes walking boots. She's pretty smart and very well trained as
a few BCFers could confirm. I've put a LOT of work into her training. She's perfectly aware of who is who. Laughing She's smashing.

My 20's are along time ago. I'm 46 in a few weeks. Been with my Mrs 18 years this year married for 8 of those.
We are dead set against having kids for a number of reasons which I'll not go into, but some are health related.
If we were going to take the plunge, we would have by now. I agree about upbringing and were I to have had
them it would be most definitely be Victorian dad time. But a firm hand is frowned upon these days and it all
goes out of the window once they are in their teens anyway and start choosing who's, what's and where's for themselves.
I'd hate to try and raise kids in this modern age, I barely understand what they are talking about when I spend time
around youngsters these days, never mind anything else.

I don't have a day job as such although I do earn in my own right but it means I have a lot of time sat on my butt
with nowt to do and (until I got the dog) no company. The wife works two jobs and is out of the house a lot. To say getting
my Gracie was life changing is an understatement. I talk to her all day like she's a person. And the 5 miles or so I walk
every day with her is good for me given I have such a sedentary life.

I live in a semi rural area, pretty common to find dog friendly eateries round here. Commercial suicide excluding dogs
from pubs and restaurants around my neck of the woods. Lots of dog ownership in the area. If she does lick her arse,
she's yet to climb on someones plate to do so. I'm assuming your eyes aren't and neck aren't fixed in position. So look away?

You can still send flowers.

Still appropriate.

I hope they didn't keep any sandwiches from the wake for you. Shocked

New York Lemon Cheese Cake
Bought:
Cream cheese
Sour cream
Two eggs
Castor sugar
Vanilla powder
Juice of 1/2 Lemon and rind
Digestive biscuit
Plain flour
Unsalted Butter

Pressed biscuit into cake tin
Beats all the rest of the shit together
Pours onto biscuit base in spring tin
Bakes 1hr at 150°C
Cools and served a slice to the Mrs with her coffee.

Conversation went thusly:
"Where did you get the cake?" she asked.
"I made it." I informed her.
"Liar... You bought it when you were out." she says.

Shocked

Canny please them. Rolling Eyes

But I'll take the credit for her thinking that it wasn't 'home made'. 😎
