I just woke up from a proper old style nightmare.

Of someone getting out the back of my car and leaving myself and my younger sister in it with no gears, steering wheel or brakes and heading toward a hidden precipice.

Fucks sake. Rolling Eyes
I actually woke up going "No!"

My gears are currently being ground because I’m awake and have been for about a hour. That’s time I should be asleep - and the alarm will be going off shortly. Bugger!

I had a similar experience thanks to the stupid electronic handbrake on my car, and it was dark so there were few visual clues to what was happening. The alternator/water pump drive belt had snapped and I'd nursed the car off the main road. Wondering what to do next I looked up to see a car in front rolling backwards towards me. WTF I braced for impact and by chance pressed the foot brake, whereupon everything stopped. The car in front hadn't moved, it was me rolling down a slight slope. It really shook me up!

Eldest daughter, 24 informs me she has just got her first tattoo. FFS

What’s the point of carrying and delivering a perfect human being for it to allow some grizzled old scribbler to draw permanent doodles on it?

I have made my displeasure known by saying it looks like a wrinkly ballsack Laughing

My mum was the same when I said I was getting a bike. You have a car, that's fine, just drive it.

She lets me make my own mistakes now Laughing

Interesting I woke from a dream once what was 75 years long in 2015. I had fulfilled all my goals and lived a life in the end of the dream I was dreaming of where I am now. I am over 100 years old.

Funny things dreams.

okaaaay, you really aren't firing on all cylinders are you?

I bet he says that about his hairdressers car when he's overtaken by a lass in a Fiat 500.

What was it meant to be? Presumbaly not a 'wrinkly old ballsack' - unless I've got the Millennial generation all wrong.

Do you mean that you watched Inception in 2015 and are now remembering random bits of the plot?

Idiots everywhere. Every site I have been to today has been populated by the love children of Ashley and Harvey Price.

Ashley Price talking about the generator:-"It's fucked mate wont make any power"

Me:- Yeah you havn't plugged your equipment into it.

Next site....

"Ugh it wont start M8 deffo fucked"

I get there and it's out of fuel.

How are these people capable of wiping their own arse let alone building houses baffles me.

The price of building materials.

Concrete delivered/pumped £1,200.
Materials to make concrete, delivered: £750.

4.5 cubic metres worth.

So that's a £100 per cube to get it knock up for you and delivere to the point
of use.

Mr Google says.. 'One cubic metre of concrete weighs around 2.4 tonnes. That equates to about 20 wheelbarrow loads per m3!'

Unless you need the workout and you have your own mixer gotto go readymix.

Yes, well, I need to save money, being tight. I have a mixer (just next to me in the dining-room, actually), and I could do with a work-out. It's about 9 tonnes of cement & ballast combined. As for barrow-loads, I'm estimating 75 litres per barrow, but that could be a bit near the top. It will certainly give me something to do!

I think this came up before - unless you are used to labouring, don't start now as it will hurt.

You would be far better off paying some muscle-bound youth £75 cash as a day rate. If you feed the mixer and he barrows/fills, you should have it done in a day or two and you'll still be able to play the piano...

4.5 cube in a mixer?! You'll be there all week. With a Belle 150 or equivalent it'll take you a good 10 minutes to produce each load of concrete properly and perhaps 100kg per mix (yes, in theory they're rated higher but for small mixers that's plenty). If it's a cheaper consumer-grade mixer, it might not survive that many cycles.

Seriously, get readymix delivered; it'll be better quality than you'll mix yourself and will save you a ton of time. You'll get a better finish too as it'll all go in at once, you won't keep up with it mixing yourself so some with go off before you finish. Batching plants churn out consistent recipes and measure stuff like the moisture content of the aggregate - water content in concrete is massively important, easy to have too much and it'll be prone to segregating and you'll have a naff end product with little strength.

I do this quite regularly, I have these nightmares that I am being crushed by something, Usually I bolt upright and shout STOP STOP STOP. The Mrs hates it. Was a very similar nightmare the night I almost offed myself jumping out of bed and slicing my arm open on a glass and nearly bled out in deepest darkest Cornwall.

Gears currently being ground by PayPal . . . sold an expensive item and now they're "Holding" my payment from the buyer for up to 21 days. I get the impression the gist is basically protection for the buyer so if they've shelled out a lot of something they get the chance to ensure it's as advertised before PayPal release the money to me. In the mean time I've got some pretty hefty eBay final value fees about to hit which I was intending to settle with the monies from that particular sale. Nice. I have had a bit of a sabbatical (about 10 years) from actively selling on eBay; years ago I never had any problems with either the selling platform itself nor PayPal, but both seem to have turned into generic pains in the neck.

Wasps (vicious yellow jacket type)... just had one of the little arseholes land on me and cause me to flip out. He didn't do any harm to me, but I hate that as a grown man a small insect causes me so much fear.

Apparently my daughter got her nose pierced today, not as bad as a tattoo but I think this is the beginning. Unless it's accompanied with a lip stud, split snake tongue and horn implants then I'm not arsed in the slightest.

I saw a picture of a Ducati Xdiavel. Deaer God. It looks so bloody horrid that I looked up a video of it, and was confronted with THE most repellant POS called "campisi" pucchasing the said Sucati POS.

EURGH! The worst-looking thing since that one someone posted in ""eBay's Most Miserable Bike" thread. Bleargh!
