If my name was Johnson and I made a habit of visiting the most expensive vile coffee outlet in the world then I, too, might be wary of giving the staff free reign with 'Johnson'. Laughing

Ah yes quite - different semantics in Philadelphia I believe. I'll take your word about the product - never been in one.

My taxi driver ruined my classical music smooth ride home by jibber-jabbering about how much it cost him to do his job.

Fucking SKY has cancelled my broadband and phone line for no apparent reason, having only had it for less than a month Brick Wall Mad

So now I have to wait ANOTHER 14 days (actually, only 11 perhaps) until an Openreach dude comes to officially connect me.

I've made a complaint and advised that I will be requiring compensation, and set out very C.A.L.M.L.Y. that I will require compensation for the data I'm buying as I have to use the personal hotspot on my own phone, but I also have no idea whether the hospital will charge me for using data /the hotspot on their phone Rolling Eyes and whether they will dock my wages for the cost of it.

I may have thrown a bit of a strop.
A polite strop, but a strop nonetheless.

New neighbours last week, a few houses down. They seem ok, so why am I posting in here?

Today has appeared a large and constantly barking dog. It appears to bark constantly while they are out Mad

If you didnt live in a third world country you could just film it barking and forward it to your local country councils environmental health department.

That is an arsehole thing to do and no suprise you suggest it. For now it is quiet, if it gets bad I will ask them to put a muzzle on it.

I will not be poisoning dogs either.

I bought a twin-syringe pack of Gorilla epoxy glue a few weeks back. I opened it today and one syringe was empty apart from two small drops. There were more drops on the piston shaft and around the blister packaging but the rest must have evaporated. Receipt long gone.

You're not missing much. I had some that started full but due to the differing viscosities you end up losing/misapplying half the product. Two separate tubes much better.

The internet, specifically BT.

I'm currently getting 1.3Mbit download and 0.3mbit upload. I got faster than that the very first time I moved to broadband from 56k modem...

If you leave apple juice to clear for too long before bottling it, it goes all fizzy and the material that sinks to the bottom gets mixed up again, ruining the clarity. Then after pasteurising it you get sediment in the bottle. It does not look like this any more. Grr!

This is technically known as 'cider'

Yep, natural yeasts will start their work quite quickly - eventually* the process stops all the 'lees' sinks too the bottom and the juice (now cider) will be clear again.

*In Zider-land they keep the juice outside (well in an open barn) fermenting over winter. Easter is a popular bottling season.

On a bus in Stafford, going from home to town. It was rammed, the only seat available was the old codgers seat directly in front of the push chair/wheel chair space. Large girl (really large girl) with pushchair. She was sat in the seat facing outwards into the isle rather than forward facing, I asked her why she wasn't wearing a mask when everyone else was. I got a gobfull of abuse.

Cheeky frump. I made a point of making an "Oink" sound as I passed her to get off.

I'm beginning to think you live in an alternate dimension to the rest of us.

Management. The type of hostile fuck wits who genuinely believe their job would be great if it wasn't for the fact they have to deal with their staff (I'm quoting one of them directly there, and there was no hint of irony, implied or otherwise).

There is nothing wrong with your television set. Do not attempt to adjust the picture. We are controlling transmission. If we wish to make it louder, we will bring up the volume. If we wish to make it softer, we will tune it to a whisper. We will control the horizontal. We will control the vertical. We can roll the image, make it flutter. We can change the focus to a soft blur, or sharpen it to crystal clarity. For the next hour, sit quietly and we will control all that you see and hear. We repeat: There is nothing wrong with your television set. You are about to participate in a great adventure. You are about to experience the awe and mystery which reaches from the inner mind to... KINGS WORLD.

We will bugger up the local broadband in the mornings.

Cheap cunt landlords.

Like most blocks of flats, we have a communal bin store.

Landlords seem to think that they an dispose of shit tenants leave behind all over the place because they're too cheap to pay £25 to take it to the tip. Managing agents are hiding behind Covid to actually get off their arse and do anything about it.

If I ever make the mistake to buy a flat again, it'll be owner occupiers only.
