Bank interest rates.

I've moved bank 3 times since Santader made the 321 current account interest rates so low it wasn't viable.

Now TSB have changed their rate from 1.5% to 0.

I think I give up and spend it all on rum and diesel. It's ̶h̶a̶r̶d̶l̶y̶ not worth saving now.

Showing off with your savings lol. Hasn't your daughter spent it all on her horse yet?

In case you hadn't noticed, banks all got together behind closed doors years ago and decided they were all (strangely in agreement) going to do 0% interest on current accounts.

Then the FCA came along and told them to get their act together on overdraft charges. The cabal huddled again, rubbed their hands together, and came up, magically somehow, to up the rate to 39.9% apr instead, meaning no competition or chance to jump ship for ripped off customers. Licensed cartel.

Now the FCA is fiddling with insurance renewals, trying to prevent the negative loyalty bonus that's in operation if you can't be arsed shopping around at the end of the policy. Guess what that will mean! Yes, insurance will go up for all, regardless if you're a new customer or a lazy stickaround.

Yes, I totally get all that. The TSB amount was nothing special, 1.5% up to 1500 quid. I used to put my marina fee money in there and make a few quid each quarter. TBH it was really psychological as it felt I was actually getting something from the thieving cnuts.

The overdraft fees are a real back fire from the FCA though.

I'm really fucked off with the FCA. Must cost a fortune to fund, cosy pensions at the end of it. But we've got overseers that are either in bed with, or revolving doors between, and not just the FCA. These bodies either don't have teeth, or are hesitant to use them. I don't recall much happening post 2008 banking crisis. Just a waste of money if you ask me.

I think the other 'win' they got was to punish women the same as men with car insurance costs, well before the woke generation was awake.

The Italian laptop, not content with having weird places for its symbols which are different than an English one, has progressed from having an occasionally-absent L key, to having a dodgy D which doesn't always want to play nicely either.

And the shift key, or is it the CTRL key Thinking is also being quite moody.
Or indeed the ALT key ...

It hit men with higher costs for life insurance while before it they were charging women less for car insurance using suspicious excuses.

Rescue one.

I agree with the so called 'designer dog' thing. It's ridiculous.

A girl of my acquaintance (because she would never be a friend of mine) has recently put an American Bulldog/bullmastiff cross (I think) on her Facebook page and the poor little bugger's not even a year old. They are now selling it for £400 Shocked ... and it still hasn't got its toileting "issues" properly sorted out yet.

I remember several years ago when she did a similar thing with another dog of similar crossbred "pedigree" ... just another macho chav appendage within the family, but unfortunately for the dog it was inconvenient in some way or other.

I get really cross that people like this are allowed to buy a fucking dog at all.

I want to go round there and be all twistedFirestarter on their arse.

Tried to help out my neighbour, a complete numpty with tech, when their iPhone asked for account verification.

"We'll send a text to your backup phone..."

Fine, but the number is an old PAYG that the O2 Shop... I dunno, used as trade-in? Stole? (When someone goes for a SIM only deal I don't think that entitles you to their old phone!)

Anyhoo, account recovery. "We'll send an e-mail..." great, but the Gmail account wasn't even set up for iPhone (IMAP not enabled) so I fixed that.

Now it wants the card used to buy the contract. No problem, done.

"We'll now send some stuff to your current number..." except the button at the bottom doesn't have any text on it (some sort of bug) and if you hit it verification fails and you have to start all over again Rolling Eyes

I said go back to the O2 shop and kick up a stink. If they still have the old phone (and SIM) in a drawer this would all be much easier.

I suspect it's already "disappeared" and they'll wimp out and say "Apple problem, go to Apple shop"

I've had my current Akita for about 5 years now. In that time he's only savaged 2 people who were playing silly buggers and finished 4 fights. (He's never started one.) He cost me £150 from an Akita rescue charity and that for a dog which would have sold for somewhere around £1200 to £1500 as a puppy. He's as loyal as they come, as disobedient as most Ankita's and a joy to be around. I really wish more people would rescue.

My Mother in Law has a male German Spitz which she rescued off facebollocks that had been brought as part of a breeding pair of Pomeranians but grew too large
When she got him he had been advertised as for sale for £800 then £400 finally she got him free! Never been socialised and had been kept in a kitchen pantry, about 2 foot square, for the first 3 years of his life!!!!

Mad as a brush, now 7 years old and we quite often get stopped in the street and asked what breed he is

Gears ground by a colleague who sits near me and has absolutely no regard for coronavirus; despite living in an area with soaring infections (Manchester) and with strict lockdown measures, she still is having dinner parties with large numbers of friends, going out, visiting family etc.. and I see this is her being a very likely candidate to bringing coronavirus into the workplace and more specifically to me, putting my family then at risk. It's frustrating because from an employment perspective, there's nothing that can be done but I worry for my wife and newborn son. Crying or Very sad

"Asylum seekers in Glasgow complaining about conditions".

Well if you do not like it, then go back to where you came from.

Talk about the hand that feeds and gift horses. 🙄

Whatever they are 'suffering' has to be better than conditions they fled from. So STFU.
The UK is not responsible for the despot/non secular regimes they left.

They think they're coming to the land of free stuff (and compared with France they probably are) but it's not all that they expected. I doubt many are fleeing persecution either. Little sympathy.

I tried to find this one, googled "Asylum seekers in Glasgow complaining about conditions" but there were numerous matches.

I did find "Mohamed, an asylum seeker from Sierra Leone, said: “They told us, ‘Don’t talk to the Press. They have not gone to my room to clean it for the past two months, they have not cleaned the room. "

What's to stop him cleaning it himself? Am I being mean?

Also the plastic container of carrot and pea stew “you wouldn’t feed a dog” looked quite nice to me.

My mistake. I should have been more cultrally aware. Sierra Leone is primarily an Islamic country. Therefore that's womens work!!!

Bloody useless Yodel,

Sitting in my office get an email saying your parcel has just been delivered 4.15pm. WTF the yard and the warehouse are covered by ctv and no fekker came anywhere near.

Immediate phone call and web chat gets nowhere. Are all their drivers stupid/thieves/con artists?

Knew what the parcel was, and needed the parts so not to let an important customer down.

Thank you Yodel Evil or Very Mad
