Yes one still hasn't lowered one's standards to the level of pyjama-wear to the shops yet.

A woman on my FB page (whom I do know vaguely, having met her once or twice over the last 20 years) has dyed her hair brown.

I now appear to have Olive from On the Buses as a Facebook friend.

Brick Wall

As a trend, I approve in general of dyeing grey hair in natural colours, my own erratic medium-to-dark-brown efforts take anywhere between 10-15 years off me (on a good day). I am not a fan of the pink, green, turquoise brigade, although occasionally I hanker after a go at the electric blue (but have avoided doing so).

No surprise there, then.
I thikn its the pressure drop.
But there is no braided hose thingie.
And my eyes are tired, cold and grouchy.
I'll just put on a fleecy dressing gown, then Rolling Eyes

They don't all have the braided fill pipe.
Mine (Worcester Bosch) has a key you stick in underneath and turn to top it up.

The boiler guy phoned back this morning and talked me through increasing the pressure. Just needed a pliers on one of the two levers that refills it, and it was sorted.

Meantime, i am now waiting for the carpenter who is supposed to be able to fix - or at least assess and acknowledge - my atrociously soft and soggy hallway/back doorstep flooring which i have to keep warning people not to step on, or they risk falling through.

Good thing i have a week off Rolling Eyes
Might eventually get down to Shaftesbury/Salisbury by late in the week, if i am lucky. Fingers crossed that the Harley gets its MOT today at some point.

To the driver of the small brown hatchback who had clearly missed his turnoff on the 4-lane motorway roundabout and dived straight across my path to get there, obviously looking straight through me and occasioning me to nearly somersault my RS... you are the reason I am now finally going to buy myself an 'always-on' camera for the bike, because next time you do that I will have caught you on video and will take great pleasure in dobbing you in to the rozzers YOU STUPID STUPID BASTARD Evil or Very Mad

I returned a fake watch sold to me on eBay. Sent back via second class recorded.

Sent on 8th sept. No update.

Seller is getting shitty with me and I doubt I’ll see a refund now.

I've bulk bought KittyKat kitten pouches, 'cos every kitty loves KittyKat, not my one, not good enough. 11 boxes of the stuff just sat there now.

Bitch.

Meg and the rats are besties now, roomies even. I've more chance of winning the lottery than Meg has of catching and killing one of her mates.

Or... you could just wait until she's no longer a kitten and much more likely to go after rodents.

The carpenter came to check about my rotting floorboards, and yes, I do indeed need new support in my back passage cos the joists have to go as well.

But what i didn't notice is that he pulled up a piece of floorboard in the hallway and although he replaced it, THE CATS HAVE NOTICED IT and they have lifted the tile back up, I stood and watched Longshanks, the most craven of the three, put his head and front feet down into the fucking crawlspace. If any of them get stuck down there, i'll go potty.

But worse than that ... i'm now wondering how many huge super-spiders there are down that hole just waiting for me Shocked

My brain. Just when I thought I was getting over the death of my dog my brain spends the night dreaming about him and telling me I had him put down too early.

Then my nephew asks why he can’t see him anymore.

Someone’s cutting a lot of onions this morning.

No, You did what was best for him.

It's far worse to keep them going when they're suffering or have poor quality of life.

Always a hard choice and you always think you could've done better.

My package, finally tracking updated and was "Out for delivery". I am sure they have a procedure of no updates until they are ready to deliver, as then they can just say its lost somewhere and noone can be accountable.

Then Parcelforce driver did not want to deliver it! He had marked the tracking as delivered when he gave another low value small screwfix package and I had to insist he had another look van, he came back with it 5 minutes later. He said something about "not having the details" but my address was clearly on the box. Its a big box, a £500 box. Now I have it, all is good.

That decorating I started, well now its going to have to wait. Embarassed

What is it with some people? Marking time till they die?! There's stacks of videos on YouTube of delivery drivers walking up to a door, parcel in hand, posting the "sorry we missed you" and walking off. No knock, no door bell Sad

Last week I heard a card come through the letter box; but by the time I got out to the street he was already driving off and I missed him Evil or Very Mad
I'm not sure which is worse; that or the other muppets who leave a parcel of electronic goods on your doorstep in the rain without checking if anyone's actually in.

AFAIK it's all because they are paid by number of addresses attended; it's quicker just to leave a card or the parcel without waiting for a door to be answered.

I often have weepy nights when I'm trying to get to sleep with very vivid flashbacks of that extremely shitty day my old dog went for the last vet visit.
I don't think they'll ever go away tbh, all part and parcel I suppose.

He was a reasonable talker, occasionally took a chunk out of me, ate a few of his solid plastic seed pots, managed to lever a side of one of his cages with just beak pressure and used to torment whatever pet dog we had at times.

One day I came home from work and found him sitting all slouched on his perch, his eyes were closed and he was breathing very raggedly. I took him to the local vet, who diagnosed Psittacosis. He said that he could treat him but it only had a 50% chance of helping and he might suffer, he could also pass it on to humans. I decided to have him put to sleep.

My point is, you try telling anyone your parrot has died, do you get sympathy, NO....what you get is the dead parrot sketch repeated back to you!
