I'd just like to complain briefly about being served eel and being told it was prawn.
Prawn is NEVER gelatinous...
Other than the funky appetiser choice, Air China (biz class) is very nice, though.

We swapped to only using Air China to go to Beijing a few years back. I find it amusing that 16 years ago they were the poverty choice (they were proper grim) and BA was the plush one. Now Air China is the plush one with the hot stewardesses whilst BA long haul feels like being stuck in a 30 year old school bus while being served by a series of over weight drag queens that think customer service is an optional element of their job.

Could have been worse: if you'd been offered sausage and only got a chipolata...

Celebs at Christmas. The f#@kers are annoying enough the rest of the year but they really go into money grubbing overdrive during the festive season.

If we are talking about Celebs on tv it's them doing game shows for charity that really pisses me off.

The questions are about the level for a 4 year old so they can get them right, look intelligent and get their 50p for starving children in Ethiopia, Pakistan and Tottenham.

The 'humour' (and I say that tongue in cheek) is of a level an amoeba or a person from Tottenham would be able to find amusing.

The canned laughter is cringe worthy.

Sadly wifie enjoys them so it's the man cave and football on Amazon Prime for the next few days. Dance!

One of the reasons I threw my TV set out of a window ^^

Can I add Frank Skinner here? Not funny, not clever, not good for radio.
Am I the only one who thinks he should be shot?

Frank Skinner doesn't bother me so much. He keeps a pretty low profile. That crowd that constantly do the comedy quiz show circuit are partucularly annoying. They're as moribund as the northern comic lot in the seventies.

Laughing Laughing
Well it is the poverty choice for me, cos it was the cheapest business class fare (for predominantly the reason you state above: both BA and Air NZ feel dated). Beijing airport was clean and modern. My stopover at Chengdu left a bit to be desired but such is the lot of every jetsetter: into each life a little rain must fall. Laughing

Last time I went with Air India and people laughed, but the food was fabulous, and the service just the correct amount of studied obsequiousness.

But the way I see it, I pay the cheapest Thai ladies to do my nails and its still as good and as quick as going to the stuck-up Russian bitches at the other end of the road. Why would I pay ÂŁ50 in Chelsea when I can pay ÂŁ18 in Canning Town. Neither price guarantees me a seat next to Joan Collins. Laughing

I used to like him back in the day. I think he got made broke by the banking crash and has to work rather than chooses to.

I liked his autobiography.

It's not unlike them to turn down dogs though, even guide dogs.
Many a Muslim mini cab driver has found himself in the news for doing just that.

They see them as religiously unclean or something like that.

Their loss.

Agreed, shoot the boring twat.
But I want Michael McIntyre in front of firing squad too... and all the people who laugh at him mincing about the stage.

We need firmer controls on celebrities. I've thought for a long time there should be a celeb cull each year. Celebs fame should be limited to ten years. We could have a Logans Run type cull or a Running Man/It's a Knockout show with celebs having to leg it through some lethal obstacle course. There could be a charity fund raising element as well.

Yes yes, we know you don't like the brown people.

How about you keep your racism out of this thread? Keep it in the 'politics' ones.

Before you get nicked like that cunt in bath did.

I have to say, I believe it was more of a fear than a religious belief in this instance. We get that a lot in the park.
I've never had an Asian approach to fuss either dog, more the opposite. Again, their loss.
Some black people, on the other hand, jump around like a large blob of hot weld has just made it's way into their boot.
