man, you deserve that drain plug...

You're allowed to, residential drainage, I think there is a problem or a fee to pay if you are a business; say a garage for instance. Private households are fine though, the drain is right outside my house, bike oil changes and car oil changes are OK. Just undo the sump plug until empty and then put back in and top up.

Gears ground by sickness. Thought I had a chest infection figured i could walk it off with the aid of some antibiotics. Long story short I'm lying in a hospital bed with a collapsed lung.

To further grind me gears I'm typing this at 0340 as I cant sleep. the guy 2 beds over has been having very loud dream sex for the last hour (good stamina for someone who looks 90) and the one next door pisses himself every 20 minutes before screaming.

Thirdly grinding my gears last time I tried to move it made the metal they have stabbed through the side of my chest move. So I'm no longer allowed to move out of my bed and have to piss in a cup. They going to love me when I need my 0610 shit.

Ahh a good olde ward full of mixed illnesses.
I've almost lived in hospitals over the years and things like that taught me a very good lesson - I made a bag that needs to go with me to hospital or gets to me ASAP. A small bag which contains a phone charger, ear plugs for sound deadening, a travel eye mask to be able to sleep through lights going on and off regularly plus other random things.
My ward was once awakened by the depositing of a dementia patient - the poor old sod couldn't stop his behaviour. Really is a cruel illness.

Chest infections: I've seen lots of people with them this year, healthy people at that.

Lack of clarity by myself. What i thought was a chest infection was actually a fully collapsed lung. Still least my fail of a self diagnosis kept me out of hospital on the weekend. Also pointless knowledge but you can function surprisingly well on 1 lung.

Earplugs and eyemask, they would be a blessing right now..... or a taser.

You most certainly are not allowed to do this - if you think you are then tell your local authority or whoever is responsible for street drains what you've been doing and wait for the response. Think of the inconvenience you suffered as a warning not to be a fuckwit again.

This is wildly wrong. How? Why? I'm flabbergasted.

You know they even have this as one of the Project Mayhem things in Fight Club, right? It's THAT WILD that it's an anarchic prank played by nihilistic terrorists led by someone with severe dissociative disorder and multiple personalities in a movie based on a book specifically written to be shocking.

I honestly can't believe you would do this!

I have one of those cheap Jerry Cans that have a dip in so it doubles as an oil pan. Once it's filled up after a few oil changes you go down the local dump where they have a special drop off point for oil that you can use for free.

Trolling much Thinking

You can dump whatever you like down the drains & sewers but bear in mind that they have specialist teams of drain sniffers who are very good at tracking you down.

If you must, pour it into the sewerage system, at least it will get caught & treated. Most drains run into the sewers but often get overspilled to the nearest fresh watercourse.

You are indeed correct. I seriously thought you were wrong. I phoned the council who transferred me and the guy I spoke to nearly had a fit when I explained what I did (withheld number before ringing). Once I realised how bad this was I explained my wife runs a day nursery and flushed about 100 wet wipes down the toilet a day and I tip 3 or 4 oil changes down the drain a week as I run a garage business from home. The bloke nearly exploded on the phone. I then demanded he put what he had said in writing. He was really really keen to get my address. I gave him a name and address alright.

Bloke behind me had a dog that wails at all hours as it lives in a kennel in their garden. His wife runs a day nursery for toddlers. BOOM! have that you noise cvnt. Lets see what happens.

Ok, let's assume he's trolling. Why would he troll in such a way that makes him look like a moron? Either he's trolling and he's a moron or he's just a moron.

So it's 3am on any particular morning, Monday, Thursday, Sunday it don't matter. You are in bed trying to get some sleep.

WOOF WOOF WOOF x 1000 none stop. Others shout out "SHUT THAT FVCKING DOG UP I'M TRYING TO GET SOME SLEEP!". It's really not funny. You go around to talk to them, "It's a dog, they bark" is the reply you get.

What am I supposed to do? bend over the fence slap my arse and say "Go on have a go on that!". That damn dog has been a pain since day 1.

Trolling no. Kama for the dick at the end of the garden, deffo.

A dog barking that much is upset (no shit, Sherlock!) so best report them to the RSPCA.

<addendum> complain to the council:

Quote:
In law, a barking dog can be a 'statutory noise nuisance'. Under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 the owner could be taken to court if they do nothing to stop the nuisance. This could lead to a fine of up to £5,000.

I had the RSPCA turn up a few years back to check on the 'rottweiler'.

No rottweilers here, I say, only chihuahuas.

Cue 3 week investigation on how well we look after them.

Report the owner to the local council environmental officer , I'm sure they will resolve the issue with the owner

Why don't kill 2-birds with one stone and get him to put in the other neighbours garden, then it'll be too full of rat to bark.

He's a fat Alsatian couldn't run to save his life. Rats would probably eat him. Stafford used to be such a nice area as well.

We're moving house in Cyprus. Last month we sold the old house and deposited bankers drafts for the amount we sold it for (no BACS or similar for large sums here) in our joint cyprus bank account.

We went in to the bank today to draw a bankers draft to pay for the new house. Cue many identity checks, inspection of paperwork etc as expected.

Then, out of the blue, they hit us with a charge of .5% of the amount of the bank draft! Apparently a standard charge for vetting large transactions. Grrrrr

Fcuking daylight robbery. They've taken nearly €500 off us for checking the veracity of our own money. Gagged

Yeah yeah first world problems Rolling Eyes

TLDR: Banks eh? Bastards all whatever country you're in.
