We couldn't get milk at the start of last weekend. My parents left us some on my doorstep last Sunday. I also bought some on my way home from work as did my husband. We've had a suprise ocado delivery today that we didn't even know we had booked...
We have 20pints of skimmed milk in the fridge now..8 pints go off on 4th then even more 2 days later.

How am I going to use all this milk!? Had a pint already today and it's not sitting well!!

Put it in the freezer, a couple of cartons/plastic bottles at a time.

Edit: If they're 2-pint ones. Unless you have a big freezer.

When it's frozen it will bulge the container, and the milk itself will look funny, but that's OK. When you thaw it out, put it (edit: the bottle!) in a sink (or pail) of cold water to speed the process up. Give it a shake before you use it.

Eat a lot of pancakes?
milky coffee all day.

20 pints of milk is what we usually buy to last us a week, there are just 2 of us!
I find that these days a lot of milk is fine after the date. Ocado's milk is usually really good for this. But as Riejufixing says, freeze some if you can.

I seem to have crashed and burned today.
Minced into the office all hunky dory, then ended up frazzled to the eyeballs long before lunchtime.

Must have been running on adrenaline all day yesterday Rolling Eyes

I have my hairdryer always plugged in as i use it daily, it's in the spare (my) room and the socket is an arse for me to get to.

Husband has taken to using the hair dryer for his huge beard - not a problem I am capable of sharing. However he seems to think it appropriate to turn it off at the plug after using. Not only is this an inconvenience it catches me out EVERY SINGLE EFFING DAY!!!

At this point Ive already got my head between my knees and my hair combed forwards to blow dry it upside down (for the volume).

I am going to kill him

I have an update guys...

I'm at work, husband has just messaged me asking me to order a new hairdryer from Amazon as my hairdryer has just exploded whilst he was drying his beard.

Thankfully no casualties, but it would look mighty suspicious if there was!!

I deliberately buy super-cheap, nearly out of date milk then make it into Paneer, ricotta and yoghurt/keffir. Paneer keeps for ages, ricotta and yoghurt for about a week

You can also freeze milk.

Considering the argument that arose about how to do your digging, that's probably a good thing.

It's a bloody nuisance. There's a bit of work to do, so I want the proper thing, and as I've got one, I don't want to have to buy another. I suspect I left it elsewhere, I can't find it in my No1 workshop, or indoors either. It might be in the van, I'll look, but I doubt it's there.

Edit: Hang on, I've just realised I can't find my graft, either. They're probably both in the same place.

He can't read my advice because he has blocked me, but if anybody cares to copy it so he can see it, it could save him much pain prior to the inevitable decision to do this mechanically....

Looks like you've gone to a lot of effort there to help someone who you're an enema of.

Its the internet - I couldn't give a shit about 'enemies'. That sort of thing is for kids. Smile

It wasn't an effort. Probably 2 minutes in all.
