What rock have you been hiding under?

Everything IT related has been in either short supply or inflated cost since this began.

I've sold a load of 2nd hand laptops / webcams and other clutter for 2x the price it would have gone for in ordinary times.

Example - Microsoft Lifecam ( ancient old shit and only Win7 drivers) sold for almost £30. I'd had it in my bottom junk drawer for at least 5 years and I think I only paid a tenner for it when i bought it.

Got a quote for getting the second bike fixed.
Came back at over 400 quid before new tyres.
And that was "providing they didn't find anything else" in the meantime Rolling Eyes
The blokely opinion that I just go out and buy a cheap one to ride about on instead.

So I reckon I might use it to improve my bike fix-uppy skills instead .
Better than chucking ANOTHER one on the scrap heap for no good reason.

It's just a matter of cleaning the old fuel out of the petrol tank and stripping the carbs, putting them back together. And then putting on the new tyres
Sounds like a proper exercise in learning.
Shocked

I accidentally ordered a brace of canoes rather than the pair of size 8 trainers I was actually after.

I share Ste's confusion. Surely that should be a fleet of canoes?

Timpsons criminals, refusing to cut a key without supplying a blank, that they do not stock, dont have in their book, and can not get. I have a blank, Ive already put the chip in it, and just need it cut. No, the only way is to let them take a photo of my key Mad

What is particually annoying is, due to this national chain there are few independant key cutters and I cant remember any nearby.

So I might set it up the lathe for milling and cut it myself.

The dotty bitch next door is going to be the death of me. I've generously hung a pair of curtains in her back bedroom, I hear a noise, whip the mobile phone out and...............

There is no God.

Air strike more like. I just, can't cope. Next to her is another batty woman. Young Asian single mum. Has 14 black bin bags of rubbish/food/shit filled baby nappies. Magpies have shredded the bags. The flies and stench is just stomach churning. ALL THE RATS everywhere are now residing in the row of houses. Local authority won't help, environmental health said they will send a couple of letters.

The heat has been.... well you can guess the rest.

Plays Willie Nelson on full blast at all hours, hence the theme. Impossible to live next door to. "I'm old I can do what the feck I want to!".

Life is grim. I find myself mentally playing 'The Verve - the drugs don't work' over and over in my head. Earworm to the extreme.

Somethings going to snap. Our front room is made of Quarry tiles, why I don't know but it is. They have tunnelled their way in, part of it has collapsed.

Move.

Somewhere.

Anywhere.

Far away from your neighbour.

Does she have rats in her house?

I'm mortgaged to the hilt. I've had a top up loan a while back on the mortgage as well. If I sold up I probably wouldn't have enough left to get a table shower at the local Chinese rub 'n tug joint.

Anyone coming to view the property will instantly see the rats, they jump out as people walk passed the front of the houses. You can see next doors garden from mine, you can see the 2 litre Pepsi bottle size holes on both sides. You can SMELL the full poo nappies from 2 doors up. I have zero chance of selling.

She lets them in her kitchen and run around the house. So yes she has them in the house, most of the time.
