Really?

Citation please...

Oh dear, I'm struggling to remain civil here, but I consider you may really be that naive, the clue is in the name "Non Disclosure Agreement" You'll never get a citation for that very reason, it's a security risk to talk about the very fact that you work there.

Nonsense. You can find detailed drawings of reactor pressure vessels, containment structures, shielding arrangements and general plumbing in reference books and online. The principles of operation as well. There are no state secrets here at all - the security around nuclear installations is about protecting the infrastructure, fuel and waste products.

The physics isn't a secret either there are plenty of reference materials available on that.

Military nuclear installations are a different matter of course.

Yeah, get me half a pound of Uranium. The decent stuff, not the 238 they sell down Poundland. Half a day in the shed and I'll knock you up a reactor. I'm sure there's a YouTube guide out there Laughing

I didn't say it was easy, just that it's hardly a secret. Laughing

You can buy (or find) uranium minerals if you really want to give it a go but enrichment is a tad specialised and uses nasty stuff like hydroflouric acid. Better get the marigolds out. Wink

But would it smell as good?

40+ years after my Mamod Christmas the engine is still in the loft but I wonder if the safety valve still works. It was always a scary thing and I might have more faith in nuclear. Laughing

Not worth a new thread so I’ll drop this here.
The details of what caused Tiger Woods' (not for the first time) car crash will only be released if the 15-time major winner gives permission for police to share their findings.

Turns out he was at twice the speed limit.
Quote:
LASD Captain James Powers said: "The car's so-called 'black box' data recorder showed Woods engaged the accelerator and never applied the brake during the incident. That could indicate he may have mistakenly hit the wrong pedal while trying to control the car."

Powers added: "It's believed that when you panic or you have some sort of sudden interruption while you're driving, your initial thought is to hit the brake and it's believed he may have done that but hit the accelerator."

There were were no citations issued because there were no witnesses to the incident.

Bless! Is it because I is famous?

A lot of new cars have it. It's in advance of them selling all your data to Facebook and the like.

Popo have been forensically analysing the various onboard systems in cars for years, e.g. to find out if the passenger door was opened in a murder investigation.

Not a common thing here but it was a courtesy car belonging to the golf club that he was driving and they probably fit them as standard, they wouldn't want to pick up the fine from the popo when one of their guests is clocked speeding. Not that any of their (hearsay) drug addled guests ever speeds on purpose, apparently it's quite common for someone used to only having two pedals in their own car to get into a loaner with two pedals and mistake the function of each, lord only knows how they'd cope with three and a stick-like thing between the two front seats, it's simply baffling how some of these folks manage to get dressed in the mornings... Do you have a problem being proved wrong by someone who actually knows about procedure and practice in the UK nuclear industry?

Not allowed to say anything in my defence, but people that talk about it don't actually work in it. Anyone that has actually done a UK CTC would know that.

As far as I recall it still is. Shame you didn't learn anything from the courses attended whilst getting your SC. If you had you wouldn't be gobbing off to the world on here. Incidentally, I'm not CTC, I just knew you lot would be surfing the net for it....no surprises there then.

Anyway I'm not saying any more on the subject, I'll let you have the last word, and I know you will, so knock yerself out.

The thing is, nondisclosure clauses are a civil law matter.

Those of us in the know know that the real issue would be the official secrets act.

CTC, used to check that your cleaners won't nick the bog rolls to fund isis....
