I thought I broke the Hayabusa today, pulled clutch in and thumbed starter and nowt... nothing.

Ignition on, green neutral light on and nothing from the starter. Tried flicking the kill switch on and off a few times and nothing.

Turned out the levers can be manually adjusted to alter the closeness to the clip-on. If the travel distance on the lever is not sufficient for starting it won't start. Up close for riding, wide open for starting. I'd altered the position for riding at a set of lights (just a peg you wang in either direction) to open close the gap. Lesson learnt.

I use Tesco for 'The weekly Shop'.

I observe Social Distancing, wear a mask, sanitize my trolley and hands.

During yesterday's visit to Tesco I noticed more than a handful of cnuts not wearing masks.

They did not look as if they were exempt for health reasons. Two 20ish cnuts wandering around toggether almost holding hands and no masks. (May have been lezers.)

Another couple he wore a mask fat-ugly wife/GF/sister no mask.

There were young children with parents masked, there were older people masked.

The 'law' states that you must wear a mask.
Unless you are exempt for a few reasons.

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/face-coverings-when-to-wear-one-and-how-to-make-your-own/face-coverings-when-to-wear-one-and-how-to-make-your-own#exemptions

"Exemption cards
If you have an age, health or disability reason for not wearing a face covering:

you do not routinely need to show any written evidence of this
you do not need show an exemption card"

So.... What's the fcuking point of me or anyone wearing a mask when, as far as the rules say, no one has to prove that they are exempt? Shocked

At this point, I doubt masks are achieving much, but rules is rules, for better or worse.

Was talking with wifie today, Are masks going to be common place now, like they are in many Asian countries? She recons so, I don't. The youngsters won't embrace the mask. They'll be doing what youngsters do, snogging, fingering and bodily fluid swapping. Laughing

Us oldies? Maybe. I'm already automatically putting on a mask when I get out the car.

That's absurd - you haven't bought them I hope. They are just very long reach fitted with a seal of debatable merit. You can probably refit teh seal off your old ones. As well as the red rubber 'Race' caps I mentioned you can by the the thermoset plastic ones too - both NGK.. for about 7.50 each.

I don't much care as long as it becomes personal choice. If you're vaccinated, and the vaccine is effective, why would you need one? If you're not vaccinated, chances are that's your choice too. If the vaccines aren't effective, we should be told as much in no uncertain terms. Otherwise, people should just be generally hygienic in their habits, and considerate when with the vulnerable. That's not asking anything new.

It doesn't surprise me the number of cnuts who touch their peepee at the toilet, zip/button up then swiftly March oot the lavy to join their friends/general public.
Never a thought to washing their clatty paws.
Sick

I haven't touched a pub bog handle with a bare hand for years.

I'm not bothered about COVID.

I just don't want to catch aids or get pregnant.

I tend not to wash my hands in a public toilet if I've only had a piss. I shower daily and keep myself clean so handling my penis isn't a germfest - it's quite hygienic. I tend not to piss all over my hands either. Razz

Whereas public toilet sinks and soap? Best avoided if possible.

Of course, apres dump is a different matter.

Is this one of those normal looking vans at a distance and then you realise it's got alloy wheels and a metallic paint-job? Wink
