You don't mention a pinlock, you do have one?

If not invest in a helmet that does. If not and helmet has studs (forget proper name) in visor for one then buy one.

Since I've had one I wouldn't be without one.

Just don't buy the HJC RPHA ST as it likes to try and kill you and impair vision when it rains because fogs up. I'm yet to find a replacement.

Can you wear contact lenses? I appreciate not everyone can but I wouldn't be without them now since swapping over from glasses. Beside the usual fogging up that glasses do I got bored, rather quickly, of attempting to open the visor while slowing down for a set of lights and then feeling like I was going to read end someone because my attention wasn't on what it should be. Annoying even more so during rain. Most places do a free trail to see if they're for you so you don't loose out by trying.

..

My input: Lids Direct report as "permanently closed" on google.

Would explain why everything gone from their ebay store and website been pulled for "working on it."

Looks like elsewhere for discount hunting henceforth then.

I have a pinlock fitting kit, but it's not actually on the helmet Embarassed I don't trust myself to drill the holes so it may be time for one of those single use sticky ones. Having said that, I am not sure it would help in this case? The amount of water in the air was....ridiculous.

Yeah, I hear you about the problems with glasses when riding in adverse weather, unfortunately they are banned in the lab (where I am spending most of my time at the moment) Sad

Having used a pinlock for a few years without issue, mine decided it'd inexplicably mist up this morning on the way to work. Neutral

£60 well spent imo.

I might just do that actually.

I took one hell of a bang on my elbow over a year ago, and thought nothing of it, usual dirt bike non-incident type thing, but the pain and lack of movement is creeping up Sad

Having ridden with the pinlock through -2 freezing fog (where my mirrors went from clear to opaque in under a second) I can tell you it does work. Thumbs Up

The only time I've had an issue with the Pinlock misting up is after I had used it for about 8 months without checking it. It needed a bit of TLC - took it out and washed it, then re fitted it properly rotating the pins to get a good fit.

No issues since.

Get it drilled! Smile

I'll go ahead and assume you're a fantasist then.

This is the part where you go off on one that you don't care about anyone's opinion, you know the truth, you have nothing to prove.

One of us is going to look like a prize chump. Which will it be?

Going off on one rather than clicking "Upload" when invited to do so is a strong indicator.

You w0t m8?

Helmets either come with pins in the visor, as standard, to fit a pinlock or they don't. I dare to think what you've found or purchased. I wouldn't, at any point, be putting a drill to my visor to make holes in it. <alarmed face>

You don't have to spend a lot of monies to get a helmet with one but often the lower priced helmets come "pinlock ready" rather than including it in the box because tight arses.

Never used a temporary one even in the helmet that didn't so canne comment, soz.

Alliteratively google DIY methods that include shaving cream and the like.

Don't use any anti-fog spray on the glasses because it doesn't do anyone any good and impairs vision quite badly. Perhaps not want their intended use is but I found out the hard way.

They do offer DIY kits for pinlock.

LOL @ Pizza Mix: just add water, tomato puree, cheese and toppings. In other words it's just expensive flour/yeast mix - make that yourself ffs.

Good choice but I don't know how the prices for helmets stack up. I use them just for spare visors.

About retail price, at a quick glance. Always handy to have more retail outlet links, cheers.

Hope googles wrong. Oxford x40 tank bag brand new was £39, bargain. Had a good clearance section.

If your visor doesn't have the hole, you have to drill them....

fucking mini panels

they go between the engine bay and passenger bit to cut noise and is a bit fire proof (apparently)

cutting a load at work and because the customer is a cheapskate we have to use their own material

it is crappy and fibres come off it all over the place and the rubbery bit that holds it together is such a crap quality it doesn't let you be as accurate as I would like
also we are cutting on a metal cutting surface so I am getting through a blade every two panels on my Stanley knife

we do our own version that cuts much better and looks better

not that you would ever see it in the car

also I found a car I want local to me but buyer wont drop price to something reasonable Twisted Evil
