I've lost track of who you are and aren't as your character on here changes more often than I visit.

Wasn't he drawing his war pension* last week?

I'll go ahead and assume you're a fantasist then.

Now asserting rather than assuming.

You're a storyteller, and your stories must be told.

You're only saying that because you're a miserable curmudgeonly sod and also you're entirely correct.

Some pikey cunt stealing my motorbike.

Who the FUCK wants a Kawasaki Versys?!

Annoyingly they removed the number plate so it wont trigger the ANPR for no tax (was SORN).

Struggling to decide if its worth claiming. A £2k (ish) payout, minus excess vs 5 years of increased premiums on car AND bike...

The worst bit is. I phoned my insurer, "sorry sir that's no the address we have on file, we'll have to pass this to out underwriters"

Thankfully I have bank records showing the extra ££ payment to change address (and removal of garage from the policy). I also have the broker (Bikesure) confirming they updated the address etc when I renewed.

So it's someone else's cockup, not mine, but I'll probably be stung anyway.

You would have lasted approximately as long as the first meal before someone threw you overboard.

Lumbering pedestrians, the sort that take up the space of 3 ordinary people, by rolling around like a damaged ship in a heavy swell. Walking an unpredictable zigzag pattern, often weighed down my carrier bags, usually wearing jogging bottoms and trainers, but don't look like they have been running lately.

Whichever way you try to walk past them, they start tottering that way also.

Absolutely stunning weather and I can't play out.

Had a fallout with my friend (kissed and made up now).
The device used to locate electricity cables and timber studs lies.
Paint splashes on carpet.
Drank so much coffee I am clenching my teeth like it's 1988.
Forgot to measure twice and cut once.
Dog walked into the freshly painted room and wiped its tail on the wall.
Stubbed toe
Cut index finger.
Computer won't be hooked up until next week (I miss it).
The very thought of wiring everything still fills me with dread.

Made another coffee.

[edit] up your bum RogerBorg.

The entirely predictable yet oh-so-wearisome "policemen put their lives on the line everyday" nonsense that happens whenever an officer is killed.

Not to say that the police have a risk-free job, but this hero-worship, like they are stepping onto a battlefield everyday gets my goat (speaking of battlefields, I do wish they would stop calling every solider a hero! If you class every serviceman a hero, the term becomes meaningless!).

Police aren't even in the top 10 most dangerous jobs yet the way they bleat on about it you'd think they used bodybags as often as handcuffs.

Apparently I've progressed several steps towards cantankerous old git today.
