I'm guessing he has no need for suncream... Landlords like that give the rest of us a bad name.
Which in turn grinds my gears. ____________________ Currently enjoying products from Ford, Mazda and Yamaha

This one's a tale of woe with a temporary happy ending, there's no inbetween thread and it's mainly gripe more than happy so it's going here.
WGYGT? .. Oxford luggage.
Left work and all was normal until I went to attach the tailbag only for the zip to split and the zipper on the base fly of into the darkness never to be seen again, balls. Major balls.
I think about carrying the chains and tools on me back but it's impossibru. I did it once before when the zip split and had a bad back for a couple of days and that was with a lighter load compared to today.
So I'm stuck standing around with me gloves, helmet and bag sprawled on the floor with the bike unlocked but can't go anywhere (I should add that I was also carrying a backpack with things in so hence why I was stuck).
Thankfully, this is the temporary happy ending, the one person who works with me that lives near by was in and agree'd to follow me home with all my things in the car. If it wasn't for this guy I would have been completely bolloxed or had to phone a taxi and get them to transport my luggage home.
So anyway after a panicked ride home with me head all over the place because luggage snapping had spent me into a spin I've took a chill pill and all is well and over.
No idea what the way forward is. Tailpack's under warrenty, I believe as is less than a year old, but this is the second time that it's happened. The only reason I got home the first time was because my setup then was a 13mm, oxford and disc lock with tools rather than the more beefier setup I've now got and even that, as above, gave me a bad back because of the weight and basic straps on the tailbag not being designed for load.
Think the realisation that if it wasn't for zed mate then I'd still be at work means I'm going to spit my dummy out and try and get them to, instead of a refund, put the money I've already paid towards a Kriega and I'll foot the bill for the rest.
I'm calling it a shit design fault rather than the load I've been using because, as above, even when I didn't transport heavy loads the same thing happened.
Less than a year old and it's kaput, brilliant.
And yes I was going to order a Kriega but had been putting the money towards tools and other things until I really needed to replace the tailbag as was more of a luxury item that I new I wanted, eventually, but didn't need just yet.
Hopefully shop all agree to swap to what I've got planned because I can't be dealing with getting stranded for a 3rd time. ____________________ The do it all, T̶h̶e̶ ̶b̶r̶o̶k̶e̶n̶ ̶o̶n̶e̶,̶ ̶T̶h̶e̶ ̶b̶i̶g̶ ̶l̶u̶m̶p̶,̶ ̶C̶h̶o̶n̶g̶ ̶N̶o̶o̶d̶l̶e̶ |

Steel.
I used to wander down the local scrappys, have a root around the steel pile and choose what I wanted. Give us £20 and sorted
Now I can't get steel without paying stupid prices or transportation. Our local fabricator can't even be arsed to let me root through his off cut bins, it just goes back to be recycled. If I want steel I either have to buy full lengths or pay for it to be cut to size.
On line, ebay prices are stupid with transportation costs,
Grrrr. Might as well get the local to fabricate it as it costs the same as buying the metal and doing it myself. (although I would have a fair bit of metal left over.)
