I used to go out with a girl from Hebden. She was full 'middle class traveller' with a badly converted ambulance and pointless circus skills, plus she didn't shave. My more cosmopolitan mates called her the 'hairy juggler' as a result....

Doing a car boot in Halifax again. Selling a load of brand new suitcases for a mate. Why oh fucking why do the "usual suspects" want to bid two ponds when I tell them the brand new large case is 20 ponds, (a third of the new price). I even got a 50p bid for a brand spanking new (with tags) carry on case.

Just fuck right off, if you can't afford the fucking case you can't afford to fucking travel anywhere.

Still, it was funny when a sensible bloke turned up and handed over 80 ponds without question, buying four cases from under the nose of a fuckwit who'd been haggling for 10 minutes.

I even caught one of the aforementioned "usual suspects" walking away with a case he hadn't paid for....the cunt. "It's ok my friend" he said "I take, I take, I show my friend. I come back and pay later....yes?"

No you thieving cunt, It's not ok.

Bikes who don't move the funk over when filtering through slow/stopped traffic yet insist on riding slow enough that they have to put their feet down.

If i've caught up to you move over and let me pass you. You wont see me again

Twats.

Also, if you can't filter because your Dullville/Mcgregorman GS has massive side panniers, either take them off and get on with it or sit in traffic like the mugs in their cages.

Absolutely nothing is wrong with my life, yet for some reason I feel like everything is grey and there is a dark cloud around me.

I can't explain it

At work we are getting a new heating system (finally!) but in the process we have lost our office/break room. I have had diggers, dump trucks and jackhammers going on outside of my windows nonstop for the last few weeks. They built us a new office that is half the size of our old office with no door, natural light or electricity. So basically a cupboard.

Im getting a little fed up now. Especially when I can get into my building via the normal door in the morning but they dig a trench outside during the day and forget to block everything off. Someone almost ended up down the bottom of the trench. No, it wasn't me.

Thats quite a good description, thought I'm sure its just a transient issue caused but an extremely heavy night out and lack of excercise and a few consecutive late nights.

Once get back to excerice I'll probably sleep better and feel better

Sleep has a massive influence on your mood, I think a lot of people underestimate how much so. Unfortunately you can get into a bit of a vicious circle with it. Basically this:

It got like that in Shell before I left.

You would have a managers meeting the day before to coordinate the next days work.

Then a work meeting with the work team leaders and H&S

In the morning before work, a meeting on site with the whole team and H&S and then with the individual teams at their actual workplace.

I reckon we got about 5 hours work done a day. It used to drive me scatty but was company procedures, Evil or Very Mad

At Vodafone they got wind of this meetings feeding meetings feeding meetings mentality.

They set the air con to max in all the meeting rooms.

Soon solved the problem... Smile

You aren't paid to think.

that's where you are wrong I am paid to think

I have to design things to fit onto other things which involves thinking about the best material to use and best way of fitting it
also to design jigs to get the parts the same time and time again

also have to think about how certain deliveries will be stored in a warehouse as we only have a certain amount of space so have to move things to accommodate this

may not be up there with saving the princess from wario like you have to but its thinking all the same
