Good point. It's helpful when you're lost but I'll keep it turned off when not using google maps.

I've had this watch since I was 13 purchased from Argos with my first pay packet from my double paper round I bought a giant bag of pick'n'mix from Woolworths with the change. I feel naked without it on.

That is unfortunate. I still wear my childhood W-92h Casio watch. It has a replaceable strap, so no issues there, but they don't sell them anymore and I broke the light button, so I can't use the stop watch function. I was gonna buy a new wrist watch, but as I studied all the different technologies and browesed the internet, I came to a conclusion that I would probably have to spend about £800-1200 to get something that I would really enjoy to own and wear. So, long story short, I built a new PC instead.

You are quite lucky as your Casio watch is still quite popular and they sell them. Thumbs Up

Got ready for a ride this morning. Pushed the bike off the driveway, turned the ignition and nothing. Took an hour to find out that there was a fuse inside the starter relay as well as main fuse. Drank 2 ciders working it out, bought new fuse and she worked. Had too much to drink to ride though.

Christ I had one of those, they're selling for a fair bit as 'vintage', certainly more than they ever cost new Thinking

Put a whole load of stuff in laminator pouches ready to zip through my laminator, I realised that I have moulted and managed to get a few long hairs stuck in the middle. I gave myself a static shock pulling them out.

Using my laminator reminded me of the Terrible Employee we had a few years ago to cover maternity leave who sent me an entire essay email that strictly referred to them as 'encapsulation pouches' for the 'encapsulation machine' that made me SO MAD at the time.

*shudder*

Checking British ebay, I am genuinely amazed how many of them are there. People ask from £38 up to £65 and there's even an original strap for £20. Shocked

Why? Thinking

I used to wear cheap Casio's for work, at 10 -15 quid a pop it was no great shakes replacing them every 4-6 months when the screen's got bust, not worth the hassle nowadays with a nice prominent time display on my Makita site radio ( I know most people rely on mobiles now but mine lives in the truck to avoid getting damaged/cooked in the sun).

I'm sure this is only part one of the watch saga, awaiting bodge repair...

I got a mate like that, always sticks with what he knows, never tries anything, is risk adverse, will always, always choose the easiest option. Holidays in the same places, goes to the same festivals - and always, without fail

The self appointed health service gatekeepers aka NHS receptionists. Anyone would think they get docked pay for being helpful.

Am under the dental hospital at the mo on a referral. Had a bridge put in quite recently and the Dr who did it said
to call them if I had a problem with it and they would get me in straight away to sort it. Well, it came away from
its cement on Saturday, it's flapping about but wont come out. Eating is a pain in the arse and has been for 3 days.
It's taken 5 (each slightly more hostile than the one before it) calls and the pleasure of speaking to numerous dullards
to eventually find out my dentist is on honeymoon (which I knew already) and to jump the queue (as arranged) and get
an urgent appointment made so I can get the damn thing removed or re-fitted. I'll settle for either after 3 days of it driving
me round the twist. I put up with it all weekend rather than bother the weekend emergency clinic with it especially as
I'd been told to get in touch if it gave me problems. Why do these miserable people have to make it so damned difficult?
