I have an ingrown hair in my left armpit. I discovered a lump there in the shower yesterday, then of course I messed
about with it and now it's bloody excruciatingly painful. It's given me gyp all day and my left armpit stinks cos I can't
spray it. It's had me in a shitty mood all day, whats worse it's still there and will need digging out with a needle which
I'm not looking forward to much. My wife will get that lovely job as I can't see it to do it myself. Can't focus, it's too close to my eyes.

Medicine.

Damned if you don't, damned if you do.
Won't go into too much detail but (prescription) medicine keeps me part of society. Unfortunately the medicine(s) I take also come with their side effects. That means more medicine to counteract the first medicine. A chain reaction of nastiness.
If I don't take medicine I can't work, can barely function at all in fact.

Holy shit. The wind just blew the garden gate clean off its hinges! A wooden, full height gate/door, the hinge screws literally just ripped through the wood. Bit breezy out today.

Horrid things. I've got one, or something like it, out of a cow before, a long time ago, but never seen one in a person. They make great bulges under the skin, as if someone's shoved a silkworm cocoon under it. You can look in the hole one end and see them moving. They've got rings of spiky bristles sticking out, and...

Excuse me a minute.....

"Whurp!"

Better now...

Not surprised, seen a lot of a wheelie bins IN THE ROAD plus ordinary litter bins IN THE ROAD.

Note to self, never ride an Inazuma 250 in windy conditions, brown trousers time.. Light stearing and that large front mudguard made riding a tad tricky.

I wouldn't have wanted to be out on any bike today, especially not near any hills...and everywhere around here is near hills. 106mph was the highest recorded gust in the region today, albeit on a fell top. Gusts up to 78mph recorded at lower levels.

Pasteurising home-made apple juice. Made a mistake. Heating the bottles to 70C in preserving pans of water on the stove, there was a sodding loud bang and I was showered with broken bottle glass and hot stuff.

"You're supposed to put the caps on after, stupid!"

I knwe that but forgot. Now I daren't go into the kitchen. Mañana.

Is it still a problem?
Try dabbing a little bit of Dettol* on it with a cotton bud.
After a few days the infection will die down.

*the brown dilutable stuff that goes white when you add water, not the antibacterial spray used in the kitchen ... just dab it onto the spot neat, and it should help.

Bloody rail tickets.

I've just booked a three-leg one way journey.

To book the whole journey as one ticket, Trainline charges £89.95.

However, I booked the three tickets separately on Trainline, £46. WTAF? That's nearly half!

It should not be a battle of wits to book a rail ticket, it's licensed robbery I tell you.

Even a ticket-splitting website wanted to charge £60.

Isn't it a good thing that it's possible to get train tickets cheaper?

Well yes, that's a positive spin. However, in the good old days, there were just first class and second class to choose from. Prices didn't vary. Nowadays the pricing iis designed to milk the unwary/unsavvy or those in hurry with no time to shop around.

Rail pricing is practiced to deceive.

We are all cash cows to privatised industry.

Yes, you could just go to any station, and buy a ticket to any other station, and before computers, they just got out a big ledger and worked the price out if it was an odd journey.

So it didn't used to be possible to get tickets cheaper and now it is possible for some journeys but you don't like that?

DVLA (as usual here it seems..)

A whole bunch of inept non-communicating bunch of unskilled power crazy b*stards. (sorry for lingo)
Idiots who know nothing about the topic of their department (despite being a help line for it) and who change their answers dependent on what day of the week it is or who answers the call. Either way each and every answer was incorrect.

Seriously, what happened to that wonderful DVLA that was most helpful and easy to use?
