The forum on iomtt.com has been closed down. The forum was a goldmine of information relating to the TT and usually the first stop for someone coming to the TT for the first time. The website is still up and running but minus the forum.

A large number of the forum members have migrated to the TT Website forum here ;-

Has all of the info been lost or was the forum crawled by one of those engines?

All of the forum content will be lost with the exception of a file by a user called SILJA on the history of the TT Course. The admin of ttwebsite.com is trying to make this available by hosting it elsewhere and linking to it.
The forum on iomtt.com was run by Duke on behalf of the IOM Government Department Of Economic Development and it was the DED's decision to close it down, probably not in keeping with their 'Corporate Image' of the TT.
Hopefully the forum on ttwebsite.com will fill the gap.

Post from admin iomtt.com regarding forum closure :-

Dear forum users,

We want to start by thanking you for your participation in this forum over the last seven years and more.

An incredible amount of detailed knowledge, informative discussion and, most of all, priceless memories have been shared here over the time it has been run on behalf of the Isle of Man Government.

However, following a review of how resources within the Department of Economic Development and its corporate partners are best utilised it has been decided that social media such as facebook and twitter now deliver much more open and engaging methods for fans to interact with the Isle of Man TT.

Therefore, the forum service will be withdrawn from Friday 21st November 2014.

We are currently examining ways of including some of the excellent and informative threads generated over the years into the iomtt.com website. We’d be very interested in any ideas you have as to how this might be accomplished.

As noted above we’d love all our forum members to continue to be a part of the Isle of Man TT and Classic TT family and continue the conversation on our various active social media feeds.

Once more thank you for your contributions.

Posted for and on behalf of the Deparment of Economic Development

Have you not kicked out those MHK's yet! Razz

It's good to see SILJA's work has been saved. Thumbs Up It was one of the first things that came into my mind when I read your post. That guy had put so much time and effort in, it would be criminal for it to be lost.
