I'm after a simple bit of software that will incrementally send any new Files and folders from a specific folder to a network drive.

I have tried a few and none seem to do what I want. I don't want it Zipped and I don't want it to do 'FULL' backups just to copy new/updated files from one drive to another.

Any ideas?

I'm using SyncExp.
It's old and not been updated recently but still works (for me anyway).
It'll do what you want I believe.

You can also google SyncExp and other download sites available, like Tucows.

You can set up the exclude/include lists too for various extension types.

Just re-read your post. Not sure if it'll need to do a full backup first and then subsequent ones are just the updated (newer) files. Try it anyhow as I know the just copy newer files stuff works.

The first one is more of a once job

duplicati would only do backup encrypted files, rather than a folder copy.

The MS one looks good. Thumbs Up and seems to be working. Thumbs Up

Looks like you're already sorted now. But if you hit problems you could try robocopy.

Its a command line utility for windows, its designed for exactly what your trying to do. It has a backup mode so will only copy files that have changed since it last ran etc. It will also pick up where it left off if it gets interrupted.

Just stick that command in batch file and run it from scheduled tasks.

I've used it a few times for pikey backups or for doing storage migrations

Nah, Duplicati definitely allows you to turn off encryption and does whole folders.

But, seems synctoy is adequate so I'll not push a product I've only started using myself!
