My brother has just being on to check for replies in a different forum with no such luck so I said I would post it here for him.

This was his post, any help?

Quote:
I dropped my 2001 SV back in April, damaging most of the right hand panels - including the exhaust, surprise surprise!! Anyway, all parts have now been replaced and its back on the road, however, I've not done anything about the exhaust yet. It's not blowing and it hasn't affected the performance or the efficiency of the can, it's just dented and scratched. Here's my query...

(1) is it possible to just replace the sleave on the can,
(2) if so, does anyone know where could I get it done (West/North Yorkshire), and
(3) how much should it cost roughly???

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

if memory serves its not a stainless wrap around (like the nsr) so i think short of pollishing it your need to buy a new can...should be some on ebay cheap enough

He didn't say but it is actually a Quill performance exhaust. I think it's stainless steel.

you used to be able to get carbon covers to hide exactly this sort of damage, try demon tweeks, M&P etc.
