Recently got back from being overseas for a year, bike had been sat but started regularly and rode a little.

Went out a month ago and my missus had a spill on it, every since then I can't start the bike, even tho it started straight away to ride back, it was a very low speed off on spilt diesel, no visible sign of damage.

Battery seems fine, charged it and put a new plug in, giving off Strong spark. Checked the air filter and found the pipe out of the airbox to the carb had a huge crack in it. Would this affect the engine starting?

Any other ideas on what is stopping the engine starting?

Thanks in advance

Sam

This will let more air in and run lean, high idling etc so needs to be changed.
