Taken a drunken slash in nearest doorway or wait 2 minutes for bizarre Buck Rogers cylinder thing to wobble its way out of the pavement..... what wins? Rolling Eyes

So you go in, it drops you down to the sewer, then after a minute or two it should pop up again - unless someone parked on it? Rolling Eyes

What is the point in it sinking into the ground... surely that makes it a lot more expensive than a 4-sided urinal portaloo type thing with a privacy wall around the outside of it?

In the case of Reading, it was in the middle of the market - so they don't take up space and have a piss-parlour around in the daylight, but slightly reduce the numbers wandering around with their wangs waving at night.

Is that really worth the tens of thousands they must have spent on it?

Dunno how much it affected said market to smell of urine in the day time. Did look all 'futurey', which goes with Reading's tech-crowd. Better than some modern-art statue, at least!
