hi,
i've srarted to dismantle a Honda NSR125R. In the hope i can tidy it up a bit, so it doesnt look as scruffy as it did when i got it.
i havnt done much riding on it, due to combination of bad weather & a couple of weeks in hospital.
so im unable to say what its top speed is etc.
anyway, i've taken off the exhaust (looks like oem honda & weighs an absulute ton!) with a view to removing the surface rust & coating it in VHT paint.
however, whilst im at it, i thought i'd look for any restrictions.

according to the info i've gleaned off interweb, if its restricted at engine end of exhaust, its done by a pipe inserted inside the "mounting stub" & its around 8 inches long.

mine DOES have a "pipe" but its only around 40mm.

can anyone confirm if this exhaust IS restricted or has the work already been done?

heres a link to what i'm talking about

cheers,

It's hard to tell from the potato cam, if the inlet diameter is equal to the pipe further down then it is unrestricted.

hi,
apologies for the poor pic, my hands were greasy & i used my crap mobile phone.
anyway, i know what your saying, BUT all info i've read state the "restrictor pipe" measures around 7 or 8 inches & is held in by 3 weld spots.
on my exhaust, there is no sign of these 3 weld spots.
AND there IS a "pipe" but it only goes down around 3 or 4CM.

so anyone know if this smaller "pipe" needs to come out (its only a few mm thick btw)

i'll try & take a decent pic in the morning, in better light & in focus Cool

Alains is never around when you need him lol

cheers,
GAZ
