So the mrs has went and got an i-phone 4s and now realises she can't "just" transfer all her music off her PC onto her phone.

In terms of a techno noob, how does she go about putting music on her phone? I understand there is i-tunes and can purchase music on there, but she begrudges paying that when she already has 100's of songs on her PC.

Also what is "jailbreaking", what is it for?

All you have to do is install itunes to your computer, it'll search your computer for music and then add them to its library. So you don't have to buy them again.... if you want to add CD's Itunes will manage this as well.

plug your Iphone into the computer and choose what you want moved over within Itunes.

Jailbreaking-- really don't bother all it allows you to do is control how your phone looks and works more specifically. The phones work the best when left alone unless you really want to fiddle with it.

Thanks for the help.

I now have a new problem.

When i've downloaded i-tunes, the phone is no longer recognised by the PC. I've uninstalled all apple products from PC and the phone is again recognised by PC. Re-downloaded i-tunes and again, phone no longer recognised.........

Question Question Question Question

You have to enable it whilst it's connected via USB.
