A guitar for my old mucker...Mrs Terror saw it in the classifieds and this evening we went to check it out.

Hardly been played and sounds okay for a budget classical Fender.

Best bit was leaving it propped outside his place and doing the knock and run thing and watching his big daft confused face.

*He gave us the money for it ...so technically didn't buy anything. Very Happy

[edit]

He mentioned a couple of years ago that he was after a replacement for his knackered Yamaha and specifically something with a wide nut to accommodate his burly hands...we know he'd never venture out and this was the solution.

Yup, me too. I bought a Bafang mid-drive kit a few years ago and it's been bloody brilliant, but I'm always open to alternatives for the next project. Very Happy

Today I did buy another boat???? Hmmm? I think I’m trying to start my own navy Shocked .
It’s a 3-to-4 berth Hampton, cabin cruiser.

It a year older than my present boat , but a little bit easier to live with.
It’s got a four pot 1500cc BMC Diesel engine inboard.
It’s tatty , but it’s all there and mechanically sound Thumbs Up
FSH Thumbs Up .

No wonder I never get to finish ‘Project Scrappy Hyosung’.

Firstly you secure your order by paying a £200 deposit.
Then they'll get back to you to establish the details, wheel size, disc or rim brake, wheel/battery colour.
I'm assuming that's when I'll be paying the remaining balance of £324, I've gone for the larger battery pack, more power and range.
They are offering a discount at the moment which I believe ends in 20 days or so.

This is going to sound a bit like the conveyor element of the generation game but here goes.

A set of 3 saucepans
2 plates, bowls,mugS and glasses.
1 slotted and 1 unslotted cooking spoons
A fish slice
One set of kitchen knives and wooden block
Two roasting trays
A colander
Bath and hand towels
Double duvet, sheet, duvet cover and mattress cover
2 pillows, protectors and covers
Chopping board
Veg peeler
Tin opener
Cutlery
Laundry basket

No. 1 son going to uni is getting expensive.

I’d stopped off to look at the wildfowl on a local lake when the cold iron railing I was leaning on let me know the finger stitching on my old Alpinestars GP Pro gloves had finally given way. Closer inspection showed the right glove had three fingertips open. I’ve had them a long time, in fact I can’t exactly remember how long. I’ve used them all year round and they’ve served me well. They’ve been soaked with rain, sticky with sweat and despite owning winter gloves, silk inners and waterproof overs I’ve used these alone. I’ve never crashed in them but they are ‘race gloves’ so I had no doubts on that score.

So, to Bike Stop in Stevenage for the next version (R3) of the same glove, again in black. These are slightly restyled and feel a bit wider across the palm, whereas I recall the R2s caused some pain there until well worn in.

I always feel like I'm being judged slightly in that place. I don't really fit into any biking category, I don't have expensive gear, my bike hasn't had the accessories catalogue thrown at it and the bike itself is getting on a bit so they automatically assume I'm not spending big bucks.
I guess you could say I'm more of a J&S kind of chap.

Not really my bag but I did also order D-FENS as seen in that awesome social justice movie, Falling Down.
It being the licence plate of the main protagonist played by Michael Douglas on the car he dumps in the traffic jam.
Actually that's my favourite role he's played over the years. A worthy addition to my collection. NRVOUS is probably next.
