Went to see what bike gear aldi had in. They had those uber crappy 39 quid pairs of jeans that More Bikes dragged around a kart track years ago next to a pair of hoods. They also had jeans in at 50 quid - seemingly CE certified (armour and material - class 1). Bought a black pair.

First thoughts: very heavy. Very thick. Very comfy. Not too warm when worn indoors, warm enough when bimbling along at a ton (on private land). The Kevlar (or equivalent) appears to go the whole length of the Jean leg. Mesh inner seems to stop "Kevlar itch" pretty effectively. Knee armour and hip armour. Overall, pretty damn impressed. They're in a totally different class to the cheaper crane jeans: the two pairs of the cheaper jeans that I picked up two years ago I had upstairs are going in the bin.

Decided to buy a blue pair as well...

Can't wait to have a spill to test em....

Replacement cleaning pads for my steam cleaner.

Don't know if I'll be able to contain my excitement while waiting for them to arrive.

A MIG welder, along with some accessories for it. Now I just have to learn how to use it properly.

I thought Mig was supposed to be super easy - my first attempts suggested that wasn't so much the case!

Took me a bit of fiddling with the dials and got an ok bead, but not spent more than 10 minutes on it.
Got mine 'gasless', but turns out you need gas for doing vehicle bodywork, which I got it for.

I've done argoshield steel MIG and steel TIG, and MIG is certainly the easiest of those. gassless MIG is pretty pointless and you can't do a lot with it.

Used to Arc, which 'should' be harder, but of course I'm used to it Smile.

Almost got a 'rent free' mig bottle, but the price they'd charged me including VAT turned out to be without VAT, which started to really bump the price up. (Need to get a reg too, but everything else fine to go gasless.)

It'll mostly be used outside, so went for the gasless, which should be fine for chunkier stuff.

I love Branston flavoured mini cheddars but could only find one pub local to me that sold them, no supermarkets at all. You can buy a box of 30 on Amazon. Im going to try not to eat them all tomorrow.

Be interested to know what you think of them. Put one on the front of the ZX6 recently and could not tell the difference from the PR2 it replaced. PR2s are an old tyre now, I'm hoping these will be a decent alternative.

Rode about 100 miles on the new PP3 yesterday and I was surprised by the quicker turn in,compared to the previous Pirelli Diablo Corsa 3.It also felt lighter on the front when quickly changing direction in the twisties.I did not weigh the two tyres as a comparison, but the new tyre feels better than the Michelin PR3s fitted to the FZR1000R Thumbs Up
