Spotted a bargain residing on the floor in a corner by all the other history books, don't mind if I do. Large tear, beside some marks on the page edges, is about the only damage. Redundant to pay £25 because it's a first edition 2016 re-print of the 2004 original so is next to worthless and since I'm no stranger to charity shops I've seen worse.
No idea if it's any good but be a while before I get round to it. Can't really go out with a list when it comes to book bargain hunting because never know what's going to appear and tickle the fancy.

If it didn't save the last radiator, why buy a new one?

One of these, almost new, for £20 at a carboot.

Two new Renthal gearbox sprockets for the FJ1200.The 18 tooth will drop the revs down by about 1000 rpm at 70 mph to make cruising more economical on long journeys. But I have a 17 tooth option as well, just in case the 18t does not give me the acceleration that I need when pulling out of sharp uphill corners like I experienced in the Dolomite Alps last year.

One of these, unused, at a carboot for a quid. Works a treat.

3M retractable ratchet straps from Halfords. Brilliant.
https://www.halfords.com/camping-leisure/trailers-towing/trailer-accessories/halfords-3m-retractable-ratchet-straps
I was moving house and remembered the faff last time trying to secure a bike in a van with a tangle of ordinary ratchet straps which jammed solid. On that occasion an over-eager neighbour ended up tying it like rope, which did the job but we wasted lots of time. You'd think ordinary ratchet straps would be easy to use but judging by the Halfords reviews I'm not the only one who struggled previously. |
